What is your favorite video game and why?

Hmmmm...probably FF7 as I connected with it and was sad when Aeries died. FFS I was building her up!

Street Fighter II was such a bad ass game and Turbo was great. It made SFII feel so slow afterwards!

MK1 was slick. Loved the fatalities. My bro did the Kano heart rip once and it was awesome.

MKII had such variety.

Tekken games have been so competitive and loved the strategy.

GT series I loved playing against my good mates. Very cool game.

WoW was fun when in teams or whatever they call that. I got up to Lvl33 and gave up. Bro now plays with nearly epic everything and clocked in a sick amount of hrs.

GT4 is amazing with the Logitech Driving Force Pro. Call of Duty is just a game I really got into and I never really liked the second one so I'm sticking to UO. The next games in line would probably be Age of Empires 2, C&C Generals and CS:S. Oh yeah for multiplayer fun as in when people come over - nothing beats Mario Tennis and Mario Kart on Gamecube. Mario Strikers is up there too.

i would agree with GT4...i put a lot of hours into those games. I am really looking forward to Forza II though.

I get bored easily. I never finished Half Life 2, Oblivion, etc but somehow I always managed to keep playing the side platforming Mario games without getting bored.(Only pc games I've ever finished was Half Life after 2 years, Cal of duty series and Brothers In Arms Road to Hill 40)

Are and were my all time favorite games. In fact whenever I'm bored with the $50 new shiny graphics pc games, I go back to playing theo lder marios fro fun(which is very, very often)

Wario Ware deserves an honorable mention. The adhd simple minigames and constant action kept my attention much better than the best pacing from Half Life 2, or any A+ budget blockbuster game.

Final Fantasy VII for any console game...I just couldn't stop playing it even after beating it multiple times

Baldur's Gate for PC games....for me it had the perfect mix of action and RPG character building
and I played through it twice covering every square inch of every map

Oblivion is really coming close to my new favorite PC game...although now that I am in college I can't
play it as much as I did Baldur's Gate or FFVII

I like Hoyle Casino too.

Try Far Cry if you haven't already, it's a great shooter game.

I second that, it's a lot of fun.

And then try Quake 4 if you haven't tried it yet.

If you want online play with Quake, try quake 3 capturestrike. Honestly, i wasnt impressed with F.E.A.R. or Far Cry.

I loved duke nuke em! It was a cool shooter!
I loved DOA for the Xbox. Great fighter.
I loved Halo. It is the best shooter on the Xbox.
I love the Tiger Woods games on Xbox 360.
I love the 2K College hoops on Xbox/360. I love the legacy mode!
I'm getting into Gears of War! Great shooter as well. Best game I've played on 360!

I have to say Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory

That game has been on every PC I have owned since it came out.

Bar none, the best multiplayer FPS I have ever played.

Very strong community support (even still), usually a friendly community, and tons of non symmetrical custom maps. Can't beat the price of free also.

Although when ET: Quake Wars comes out I may say that is my favorite vidoe game.

I'd probably have to say an online tank fighting game called Tanarus, originally Armorgeddon. Four teams of five each going after each other or their flags. It was such an addicting game made by Sony. Early high school years were dedicated to that game with my friends. I think you can still pay to play, but they quit updating anything with the game like back in 2000.

A close second would be Civilization II. One of the best Civs in my opinion.
