I like all kinds of beer...mich ultra is usually the easy choice.
I am not one of these pansy types that practically cry and insist they can't drink anything else but 'Stella' which seems to be getting replaced by Urquell and anything with IPA in it.
The funny thing about these chicks is they just milk the fucking beer anyway. They brag about it's uber alcohol content and talk about how 'average' guys couldn't handle them...yet they are downing one 6%+ beer for every 6 anyone else at the bar does.
It's fine to like a beer or two that is unique, but don't be a freaking little whiny bitch if the bar doesn't have it esp when they have it at least in a bottle.
We have a place in town with something like 200+ beers on tap. You will still here someone crying about not having something.

That being said, I do have specific tastes that enjoy more than others and turn to home brewing for that. I love rich, heavy, black as night chocolate stouts. The last batch I did was incredible.

I actually like Sam Adams Oktoberfest. I despise their regular brew, as I don't like hops.

Really? I'm not one for hops either and that's why I usually steer away from most American ales towards the German wheat beers. I also like Killians as a general drinking beer too for reasons mentioned earlier.

Never saw it here. We have very limited selection... Youngs is only available at ONE bar in town, or by the case at ONE distributor. Same with Sammy Smith.
Last time Iwas there, they did not have rogue's chocolate.
Will have to check it out sometime soon.
You poor guys and lack of good beer. Thank god for Binny's Beverage Depot all around the Chicago area.
Rogue is pretty common these days, too. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find it. Though I prefer Shakespeare stout to their chocolate...
But yeah, good luck at bars. Not too many would have Rogue on tap. Find an alcohol specialty store. They'd be almost guaranteed to have some Rogue style in stock.

Screw the 90 min go for it all with the 120 min IPA! Their Punkin is very tasty as well.
Others:
Brooklyn Brewery Dark Chocolate Stout
Troegs Troegenator Doppelbock
Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale
Generally IPA's in the summer and Stouts in the winter

Yeah, wheat beers are great too! I need to go run by Binny's now

I'll try all sorts of stuff, but that bit me in the ass last week when I got some Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Tasted like drinking pine sap. No thanks.
My safe choices are Sam Adams, Michelob Golden Draft, and Leinenkugel's.
Anything with "pale ale" in the name gets avoided. Tends to be way too bitter for me, especially India Pale Ale.

Two Hearted Ale is one of my favorite beers! Very delicious IMO because it has so many finishing hops.
Other great beers on my all time favs:
Lagunita's Censored
Avery Hog Heaven
St. Bernardus abt 12
Youngs Special London Ale

I flew an entire case of the 120 minute back with me from Pittsburgh to Atlanta (Illegal in GA) I'm in the process of aging quite a few of the bottles. It's great but not as good of an all around beer as the 90 minute.
EDIT: If you can get your hands on their Midas touch, it is REALLY good too.

I've got a 4 pack of the 90 minute IPA in the fridge. I even got a price on the 120 minute, $129 for a case of six 4packs.
Picked up two 4 packs of Dogfish Head Midas Touch along with Dundee Octoberfest and a Shiner Black Lager.
Just finished a couple 4 packs of Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale. Those were nice and full bodied.
