Speed? Oh come on. Having read through your posts, you'd probably pooh pooh anyone who drives more than 1 mph over the speed limit. Heck, it sounds like you'd be okay with putting up cameras every 50 yards along all roadways and fining anyone who ever breaks the speed limit. I agree though, some vehicles are a little more "fun" to drive, but 95% of the driving that most people do isn't the "fun" type of driving - it's commuting to and from work. In just a few weeks, the threat of a hard freeze overnight will be gone. After I get out of work, I can drive to one of the lakes with my boat and cruise around in that instead for fun. I'd reckon that 190HP in a boat on a quiet lake is a little more fun than an RX whatever it is in the middle of Queens, NYC.

I've never said any of those things. 95% of the driving I do is fun.

As far as best supercar to also use on the roads .... I'd take a Caddy CTS-V over any BMW or Benz, or even better, a new ZR1.... all the comforts of an american car, but enough power to destroy the flying spaghetti monster and magnificent handling.... what a great car ...

This is why I picked the RPS13, can easily put 500+hp/torque to the ground. Weighs roughly 2600lbs and handles like it's on rails. And nobody suspects it.

lolol, whenever we want to actually do something useful we borrow my brother's Grand Caravan. I think it's a 1996 that he paid $900 for about 3 years and 80k miles back.

It's helped us move so much stuff back and forth, but the damn thing can't do more than 55 when the AC is on in the summer. And it's hilarious because it's this awful maroon purplish color. lol

He loves the damned thing to death.

Weird. My easily does 70+ on the thruway, hauling the boat (3500 pounds) with AC on, a couple kayaks strapped to the roof, and the entire think packed with camping gear.

sunbeam tiger

i wonder if a ford 302 would fit in one? although i suppose for value you'd keep the 260 in there. 302 would make a good alpine mod, maybe

221/260/289/302 are all the same block, so yes, of course. Later Tigers were fitted with the 289 from the factory. At that time, Chrysler had bought Rootes, so they were selling an English car with an American Ford engine, hee hee.

Also, how the hell could Halbeard not know this one, since the Tiger is a Sunbeam Alpine with a Ford engine and both were produced and sold in GB for YEARS, starting around 1959 for the Alpine.

How ironic! In the background, behind that more or less useless black vehicle, is a dodge caravan. My favorite is the grand caravan. Any car that starts and runs is good for the primary use: getting from point A to point B. Yours has no utility other than that. Some people might think their vehicle helps get them laid. I'm married, so my grand caravans are N/A in that department, likewise, I believe you've mentioned a few times here that you're N/A in that department as well. Why is the grand caravan my favorite? Utility. I'm not sure who put "utility" in SUV, but they suck in comparison (I've owned both a grand cherokee & pathfinder; the pathfinder absolutely sucked donkey balls compared to the cherokee for usefulness.) I can toss 4 kayaks in/on the grand caravan and still have room for all four members of my family. I can easily toss 1500 pounds of stuff inside. Or, if I'm willing to take it easy while driving, probably up to about 2500 pounds in my older caravan. I can haul a 3500 pound boat behind it, or camper, or whatever. It's had little more than oil changes, new tires and new brakes, plus a new muffler at one point because the factory muffler split on the weld. (And this weekend, I changed a rear brake hose.) It's been abused to hell and still has made it to nearly 150,000 miles and is going strong; needs another set of rear tires though later this month.

My dad has a grand caravan and absolutely loves it. He's a tinsmith and uses it for work. It's always full of tin, tools, etc. He's had it for years and puts lots of kms on it, taking it pretty much everywhere, with no problems. He used to have a truck but his back can't handle getting in and out and the rough ride anymore.

It's a great vehicle for him but I wouldn't buy one. Not because of the image, but because it drives like a boat. I like my mom's car a lot more simply because it's just nicer to drive, and it's just an impala.

Well, I talk like I wouldn't buy it but right now I'd be happy with any vehicle. My favorite car is the first one I can afford. In a year or so when I turn 24 my insurance should drop I think.

McLaren F1, McLaren F1 LM, McLaren F1 GTR, etc.

GTR

The GTR has less weight, but it is also geared differently. Instead of having a top speed of 240mph+ (stock F1), the GTR has a top speed of 180mph. It's geared to race.

Saleen S7, which I will never get to drive.
By the time I am rich enough there wont be any left floating around.

Well he has the one with the cheap engine. It's also got almost every light on the dashboard on, and the transmission is a hit and miss.

We beat on the car a lot during the summer.

Doesn't have to be that exact one, but the Camaro, particularly from that era.

You need to try a full-grown SUV.

Late 90's BMW E38 750il. Powerful, classy as hell, good enough for James Bond and The Transporter. Want.

Favourite? What's that word? It kinda looks like favorite, but where I'm from we don't throw extraneous vowels into words like "favourite", "armour", "colour", "aeroplane", "ye olde shoppe", etc.
