I just recently upgraded from Winamp 2.x to 5.x and it looks like I'm preferring the default Modern skin to any of them. It seems to have buttons things in the best locations and is the easiest to read.
I downloaded several skins that I thought where newer, but many are so different (the shaped ones) that I'd have to look at it for awhile to figure out where everything is (my skins are on random). Also some that are shaped like the normal skins that I got are missing buttons, like for the for the Media Library, or you have a screwy thing you have to scroll through to find the buttons to open windows, or you just can't read the text or tell what some buttons are.
Are skins designed any differently for Winamp 5?

My absolute favorite is one from
2 Advanced, check out their site and scroll down and you'll find they have about 5 "App.Skins." I like their "Chrome Oxidized" skin.
That website is friggin insane!
Yes, they have to be the best web designers around. They have had a few versions of their site and that one is the best so far. Just incredible Flash design.
Except you have to play the animation every time you go back to the homepage, which with Mozilla means after everytime you download one of those skins.
