How about a poll with the same ranges that the test mentions after you take it? IE 85-115, etc? We could see if it actually comes out like a bell curve as claimed or whether us techie forum people shift the curve, etc?

Same. Except I scored a 15? on the last one I took for an employer. I don't understand the jump in score. I think I just got used to finding the patterns.

I've always believed intellect isn't something that can gauged and rated in this fashion, but I was curious and took it anyway (144). The one I tried quite awhile ago when i was bored (oddly enough, the questions were easier) gave me 131.

uuuummmmm.....don't let this scare you but the people you talk to here are likely on the upper end of the curve to begin with. Except Princefield2040 apparently.

I agree that online test with exception of a couple are not accurate though.

Actually, most standardized IQ tests are set to a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. Assuming a normal distribution, more than 99% of the population should score less than 145.

The people on this forum are probably a skewed sample, though, and therefore not very representative of the general population.

joined mensa in college because it seemed like a good idea, but 2 meetings later, I realized that if I stayed in, I'd never get to have sex again.
