Never eat anything bigger than your head.

Oh, and 80% of life is just showing up.

I'm also quietly partial to what Donovan wrote in a song years ago:

Happiness runs in a circular motion
Thought is like a little boat upon the sea
Everybody is a part of everything anyway
You can have everything if you let yourself be

Too many to list:

Family comes first.

Your health is your life.

People deserve a second chance, but not a third.

The past can’t hurt you anymore – not unless you let it.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Being kind is more important than being right

Cherish those that you love, you never know if you’ll see them again

Tell the truth, or eventually someone will tell it for you.

The source of most of your frustrations and anxiety are the result of living in the future, or the past.

Slow down. Rushing is rarely worth it. Life is better enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

Possessions are worse than worthless — they’re harmful. They add no value to your life, and cost you everything. Not just the money required to buy them, but the time and money spent shopping for them, maintaining them, worrying about them, insuring them, fixing them, etc.

Time heals all wounds… regardless of how you feel right now.

MANY MORE....enough for now

There is some truth to this quote, but people who seem to think that this philosophy applies while you're putting your f*cking luggage in the overhead compartment piss me off.

Mundane tasks that other people are waiting for you to finish should be done as quickly as is safely possible.

Your health is your life.

Too true and often overlooked until something bad happens.

If I had to pick one of my own, I'd say to take it easy and stop being in such a rush with everything... something I've learned after "growing up".

Relevant to 9/11: You should always be at least a half an hour late for work.

Hit it, then quit it.

95% of people are just plain stupid. With a margin of error of 3%, chances are you are one of them.

Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone.

Fuck with me or mine and I'll kill you where you stand.

Avoid hypocrisy whenever possible, unless hypocrisy serves some specific function for you. Avoiding being outwardly hypocritical isn't as important as avoiding it internally. Always be the first to recognize it in yourself. If you do something evil, do it in full knowledge rather than rationalizing it away.

It forces you to second guess yourself a lot, but it also forces you to know yourself better than most people do. It makes you be the person that your actions make you.
