The Droid. Its nice but I really dont need it.
With purchase price and one year of service its gonna cost me WAY over a grand.

Actually, it could be my S-10. The thing is only good for mountain climbing and I dont do that nearly as much as I thought I would. Cost me 19 thousand to buy, almost 4 thousand in repairs (none of which was covered by the extended service plan, which was 2 thousand), and I dont even wanna think about the gasoline. 50 bucks a tank and I'm refilling it all the time.

Will not be buying a Chevy again. Might be cheap at the dealership (relative to all the over priced crap we have these days) but over time its side costs add up.

42" Plasma cost me 2 grand. Ticked off because today I could get a 60" TV for tha price.

Also have a Schwinn 4 Banger mountain Bike. About $2100 when i bought it. Should ride it. Been years since I've even sat on it.

Even though this is not really *one* item, I would have to go with my +250 blu-ray collection.

Completely pointless.

I use all my other "crap" so I don't really consider it a "luxury" item.

Dnio't you watch them? I have about the same number and I watch them all the time. I like having them all so when people come over they can just pick a movie and we can throw it in, or I can watch whatever on a lazy Sunday.

I've got quartz counters in my house that cost almost $7,000. I could have put laminate in for $700. That's probably one of the most expensive, single "luxury" items I've put in my house that could have been done for cheaper.

I've got lots of other stuff like DSLR's, a dedicated theatre room, and some nice speakers...but none of them cost as much and had such a price premium over other alternatives than those counters.

Our condo in Vancouver. We live most of the time in Victoria, and have a house there, but we like to spend time in Vancouver and sometimes have to work there. We don't need the condo, but it sure is nice to have.

This was taken October 19, 2009, after more than 2 1/2 years. I added another 1,000 miles since then. This car deserves a better owner.

A fairly expensive shearling coat from a few years back. I don't really like it anymore.

$800 subwoofer, along with an entire $3,000 DJ setup. Right now it's all just sitting in my basement, hooked up, but collecting dust. Hopefully one day they will see more use.

Yes, that is a picture that the realtor took when our condo was originally being listed. It's just better than the ones I currently have access to.

(I know that's your house ... I have my telescope focused on it.)

My Movado watch I guess.

I drive a car that most people would think is a horrible car for my job since I drive so much for wor so I guess that can be considered a luxury item.

Other than the engagement/wedding rings that my wife and I have and the other jewelry she has, I would probably say our wine collection. I won't put a value on it but it's in the ~200 bottle range.

Probably my Movado watch. I have other items that cost more, but I've never spent so much on an item that really doesn't do much, like a watch.
