I bet. But I worked at 7-11 for 4 years I'm immune to stupid people now So how did you get the job. What qualifications did you get A+ etc etc.. Curious because I'm looking for a job. And how did you come across the local official ASUS repair centre?

My profession is education, but I also spend a lot of time in the agricultural field. (I think 2000 bales of hay per year, plus about 20,000 pounds of grain goes a little beyond "hobby.") Wooohooo! Picking up my new tractor tomorrow morning!

Cool. I document software, so I don't have any involvement with hardware or engineering. As for IT work, I don't do that. I can troubleshoot better than most peoples' moms, but I probably pale in comparison to most of this forum .

Can you give any more details as to what you mean by "entertainment"?
Sorry I wasn't clearer. By "IT work" I actually meant software documentation and documenting business practices (my least favorite type of tech writing).

My reference to "entertainment" was when I worked for Disney. I was employed for a few years as an Imagineer and created most of the technical documentation for rides like Mission: Space, Soarin', Expedition Everest, along with the Train and the round rides in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Now I solely do contract technical writing from home, primarily for trains and light rail systems for companies like Bombardier.

had the job about a year, its pretty good but lots and lots and lots of hours, and the weather can be pretty harsh outside for hours and hours a day.

I did that for a year then quit. I did open hole, hours were way too unpredictable and long. Hated the job.

i have many hats. my actual title is "senior programmer" but i do a bunch of different things, from graphic design to network design/ implementation. i also do design-build engineering for some customers. i also end up doing drafting when we get slow spots, as well as doing electrical control wiring. i also head the IT here at the office, and for a few of our customers. i only get one salary tho.

You dont have nearly enough options.

Technically I am a Combat Engineer for the United States Marine Corps. But I picked other. As I dont like to be lumped in with the civilian engineers.

Cool cool, it's good to see some army folks on here as well, do you get to do things like an Engineer in BFBC2 (the pc game?) , i.e playing with rocket launchers, repairing tanks, etc?
