<$50k/year = 0
$50k-99k/year = 1
$100k-149k/year = 2
$150k-199k/year = 5
$200k-300k/year = 6
>$300k/year = 8

High school grad = 1.1
Associate degree = 1.2
Bachelors = 1.3

Can't equate this, because it's often a dependent on where you live. You can have the same degree and be paid $50k less for living in the middle of the states vs. California/NY - yet have the same leftover after paying the bills. Also how the hell do you equate a bachelors to 1.3 :wtf:

2/1.3

Got into IT in the mid 80s so degrees meant shit then. Its all about what you REALLY know. Mind you, I have lied at previous jobs stating I had a 4 year degree but they really couldn't check records too well back then.

1/1.3 = 0.769. 32 years old. I'm planning on getting my Master's in CS though, so hopefully in a couple years it'll be 1/2 or 2/2 :awe:

My former boss in the early 2000s found a college that burned down the year he should have graduated. Guess where his degree was from?

what is your bachelors in?

CS is one field that i think having a masters in is 100% pointless, unless your bachelors isn't in CS, then i think it could be useful.

Is this the way you compensate for making less. Some COLA explanation?

How does zero work in a ratio?
0 divided by any of the possible denominators (1 to 4.5) is still zero.

Example a person with a doctorate working as a lecturer or associate professor at a university:
* Salary range < $50k: 0 for numerator
* Doctorate required: 3 for denominator
* Result: 0 / 3 = 0

I'm not answering for myself since I do not wish to publish my salary online.
