What job should I get in my current position?

This is not an emo waambulance thread. I'm looking for serious suggestions. Given my current position/condition what type of job would you recommend I get? I won't post a link to my previous thread but I think most here know the story. I could look for any type of retail job, whatever the heck I can find. This would be easy to find, pay would suck but would get me back on my "feet" quickly so to speak. OR I could look for something a little better like what I was doing back at NCIX. This would take a little longer, would pay better, might make me feel better, but like I said would take longer. Neither would solve the larger issue of course.

I have no idea what your current position is. I barely remember who you are, I'm not going to remember all the details from your posts.

Update the OP with details or at least a link.

How are you going to be able to go to school and work too?

You have enough trouble motivating yourself enough for two classes...

Fuck that...just answer the question. It IS a valid, relevant question.

Well let's just say that it wasn't cause of motivation that I couldn't do the previous 2 courses. Had they been math or physics courses I wouldn't have quit them. The reason I chose them was because they were basically the only thing available to take at that late point in the year that still gave me credits I could use elsewhere towards a degree. They were never what I wanted to take in the first place.

Not liking something is not a reason to be unmotivated. Unless you're a child. There are a lot of things in life that you won't like doing, but still have to work hard at.

STOP STOP STOP.

I am going to get help outside these forums. I wasn't looking for emotional help of any type here. Just a suggestion as to what type of job I should look for.

Yes. Depends on the type I suppose. I'm trying to lose weight anyway. So anything really really strenuous would be out but I'm relatively strong.

Avoid landscaping, but starting out as a helper in one of the various trades is a good start. You dont "have to" go to school for it and you can get all the stuff you need by learning on the job. Electricians and plumbers can make a very comfortable living after a couple years of hard work. But you will have weeks where you work 50-60hrs and others where you may be unemployed for a few weeks between contracts (completely based on your employer/your own business).

Do you have any interests at all? I would strongly suggest trying to find something you are interested in. If you can't think of anything try outside the box. The trades are an not a bad option given the demand for them

Retail sucks unless you want to move up a lot. If you have an interest in computers which you obviously do, look for work in related fields. It's not that hard. You have a lot of options like programming, web design, network administration and the list goes on. In the west, TELUS hires even frontline calltakers at $22-23/hr. You're looking easily at $29-31/hr to start for jobs utilizing CCNA and CCNP certificates, at least. A reasonable certificate will land you a good job in any telecom company and you can advance from there.

Or you could go to actual school, providing you have an idea in the direction you want to go.

As far as shit jobs go, it shouldn't be a concern to get whatever craptastic job you need to get you by. How much did NCIX pay?
