Because I have the computer, and it is just plain easier to play games on it than a console. I own a Wii, and I really enjoy playing on it, but it is so much easier to just play a game on my computer than to setup up the Wii on the TV and play it there. I don't have to worry about being in anyones way, and I can multitask and keep abrest of e-mails and browse the internet at the touch of a button (alt-tab)

Not trolling, I honestly find PC games to have more lastability, as 90's gaming magazines used to say. The depth is often unmatched.

Alot of good answers here. I have a PC/laptop and an XBox 360.

I use my PC for shooters, RTS, and MMO's. Those don't even belong near a console if you ask me. The controls and experience are far superior.

I use my 360 for open world/sports/3rd person/platformers, pretty much everything except the genres mentioned above.

I'm a PC gamer at heart and my gaming pie is about 80% PC and 20% console, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying both. I do enjoy poking fun at console shooter fans that I know. They have no clue what they're missing out on.

Is it the keyboard and mouse? Or something else? For me it's "just because". I multitask while playing games. I like the adhoc community better than the canned environments of XBL, etc. And yeah, I like the complexity of my keyboard and mouse.

A lot of it has to do with graphics, with platform familiarity coming in at a close 2nd. I don't do a lot of multiplayer games anymore, so that's not much of an issue. Having a platform capable of taking advantage of the ridiculously cheap Steam sales is nice too. Finally, I like RTS games a lot, and I just refuse to use any interface other than a keyboard and mouse for those.

My spending tends to gravitate towards 50% PC and 50% 360/PS3/Wii combined. Most of my console gaming expenditures are on system exclusive titles (e.g. SMG2, GoW series, etc), games that have control schemes suited only to consoles (although I do have a USB XBox 360 controller for games like Grid or Dirt 2 which are multi-platform, but I play them on the PC with a 360 controller), or on games I found a really good deal on that are multi-platform.

No you don't. The clearance doesn't imply anything about a persons intellegence level.

I mean look at all the people you know with security clearances, and tell me that they are all intellegent people, and I will wonder how much paint you ate as a child.

Right now, Console can only compete on #1, but, until they have a proper keyboard + mouse + support multimonitors, they are WAY behind PC.
As far as #3, this means mods, add ons, conversions, little scripts to make things more interesting/fun, etc... Consoles are starting to get the hang of it, But, still nowhere close to as powerfull as a real PC.

yes, because your downright average tard with no experience, nor intelligence will be hired by a contractor willing to pay them over 100k...

common sense is a whole different thing though. I would agree that not everyone with a clearance has common sense.

know this though, a TS (which is what i have) is not just something anyone can get. While your work ability has alot to do with you getting a clearance, but your average 2.0-3.0 G.P.A scrub trash wont see the day he/she receives a TS (unless they are sucking some major c**k).

yes, torrents is what i would use to get forms of media that can no longer be purchased.

PC has all the types of games I like: FPS's, western RPG's, RTS's. I despise platformers, shitty, shallow God of War clones, racing, sports and fighting games.

I'm an RTS guy in a lot of ways. Play plenty of other games that are just too complex for console controls as well.
