As a BF, I want the best for her and I think she's bit short-changing herself from the positions that's been interviewing for.
Her exp is:
Bowdoin double maj. in Religion and Anthropology
1 yr as a Marketing coordinator for an advertising firm
3 yrs as a faculty assistant at Harvard
Now just got her Masters at Harvard in Education Policy
She keeps saying she has no experience and she won't be making much in the education field and already ruled herself out to make $50-60K. I think she needs to learn the game in the job search where she can polish her accomplishments better.
I think she's vastly underselling herself and applying the wrong jobs. She's been looking into education consultant positions and from the job description, anyone can apply. I know Harvard isn't the golden ticket for everything, but wouldn't you want to get the job that requires such qualifications?
What do you think?
