What kind of a raise is everyone expecting?

I got the max my company allows: 5%. But then it was prorated for me only being an employee for a coupla months. So it ended up being 1.250% or some such crap. Now I gotta wait a year for a new one.

Reported to work one day and got a raise from 42 to 55k. I figured they made a mistake when direct deposit started so I go up to my boss and go I think you guys made a mistake as my last check was a lot more...

My boss goes yeah, I told you we'd all be getting overpaid pretty soon...he raised all the engineer salaries to 55k and didn't tell anyone. He said something like thanks, I appreciate all you've done for us.

I got 5.6% last year (plus a $500 "on-the-spot" bonus and an extra 4% of my base pay kicked in to my 401k). If the overseas exemption doesn't get raised I don't want another raise this year.

Last year I got a just over 20% raise. I doubt I'm actually going to get one this year. I'm just glad I have a job at this point.

Just got a 20% raise with a promotion (working for less than a year). For those of you that did a good job (good performance review) but got little or no raise, I suggest that you start looking for a another job that pay you that you are worth. Don't let anyone take advance of you. My first company didn't pay me enough (good benefits tho) so I left (with good terms, of course). I am glad that I did or I would stuck at a job with low pay (not bad ,just not worth my experience and education of 8 years and MBA degree).

You are absolutely right. I will have my masters degree finished at the end of the year, but my company won't pay me for what I'm worth. I will be looking for a new job at the end of the year. I am overworked, and definately taken advantage of.
