What kind of fps are you getting with your video card in Crysis when you set all settings on very high in DX10?

Resolution set at 1600x1200 or 1680x1050 as well. I just want to see what kind of fps get at these settings even if it isn't playable for anyone yet on today's hardware. What video card or video cards do you have?

Didn't even bother to measure the fps but I assume it was less than 10 max, since the game was literally a slide show. And no AA/AF. It did look pretty though. Oh so pretty! :Q

I have a 8800GTS 640MB, 4GB of RAM and an OC'ed E6400@3.2GHz.

This was at 1680x1050.

From what I have seen it's not playable with those settings on any hardware.

I thinking med/high with no AA/AF with a GTX is all you are gonna get at 1680x1050 to make the game playable.

Of course is not playable but its still nice to see what fps everyone gets so we know how much more powerful the next high end graphics card needs to be so we get enough fps in fire fights so gameplay is still smooth.

Wow all I have is a 8800 GTS 320 MB, 4 GB of ram, E6420 not overclocked and I got 10 to 14 fps with everything at very high in Crysis. This is running it through DX10 and at 1680x1050 resolution. Not bad for my 8800 GTS 320. I didn't think it would do as well as a 8800 GTS 640 in Crysis at very high. Sure the 10 to 14 fps is not playable but it looks very nice and you could try playing Crysis at these fps but it won't be easy. You could at least just look around. Though no fire fights at these kind of fps to begin with because once you get into one I am sure the fps would go down by half.

I get 10-15 on very high, 30s on all high. I keep everything at high except for shaders and textures which are on very high. Runs great.
8800gtx, 4200+ X2, 4gb 6400 ram

Thats high enough. I am surprised thats all you got at 1280x1024 with a Geforce 8800 GTX with 768 MB of video ram at all details on very high.

i get 0-1 fps at 1680x1050 @ High with my Q6600 @ 3.2 and my All in Wank 1800XL.

But everyone shouldnt panic, Crysis isnt a preview of whats coming round the corner, games that are as demanding as crysis arent coming out anytime soon, so dont hold off buying a new graphics card or loving your 8800 crysis is just too ahead of its time.

Really..? Should I be getting better?

I know for a fact that my CPU is holding me back.

I thought that new games would run at this kind of performance level on last gen hardware, not present gen hardware. Something like a Pentium D with a 7 series card, not a Core2 with an 8 series. Me things the developers had Bawls instead of milk in their cereal.

Anyone else find it funny that the developers said they optimized this game so much that they got it down to Farcry's hardware requirements? I don't trust a word developers say anymore because of this.

I'm not going to bother finding it, because I didn't bother remembering where I read it. Also this.

That's because you dreamed it. They never one time said that it would run on high on FarCry's requirements. That's a guarantee.

Wow I get 20 to 30 fps with all my settings at very high in 800x600 with my Geforce 8800 GTS 320 and I only have a Intel Dual Core 6420 not overclocked.

I thought 800x600 would be more cpu limited.

i am talking the 2 Demo benchmarks ... in-game, it is faster.

i do know it is not using the 2nd core very much and the full game promises to make full use of all 4 ... i expect some further optimizing
--especially by AMD as it IS a twiimtbp game.

... at any rate, i am hoping for 30FPS "very high" with my upgraded system and optimized Crysis.
--forget AA ... i won't cut my eyeballs on the jaggies

I hope your right. I bet almost everyone is dying to be able to play Crysis at 30 fps + with all setting at very high with a resolution of at least 1680x1050 or more. I don't think anyone expects 4x AA or 16 AF yet. Not until we have the next speed king that dethrones the Geforce 8800 Ultra by a lot or the one after that.

I get about 7-8 fps everything on high with my 3ghz cd2 and my uber oced x1800gto2 740/666 at 1680x1050. Im really debating a new card just to play crysis but not sure its worth it. Maybe when the 8800gt's drop a little

Runs great for me. Q6600@ 3.33 GHz, 4 GB Ram, 8800GTX@1920x1200 with all settings Very High but the following and here is Avg FPS:

Scenario#1 - all very high but shaders = low, shadows = medium, postprocessing = medium --> 34.65 Avg FPS over 5 mins

Scenario #2 - same as above but shaders = low, shadows = low, postprcessing = low --> 52.12 Avg FPS

Both scenarios taken in the same spot and prety intense firefights also, shooting down trees, etc. And the thing is I see NO difference at all in eye candy when taking those 3 setting to low. Game runs smooth as silk at 1920x1200.

Drivers Version = 163.69

For me it is not playable with everything on very high, but with the shadow, partcle, and physics set to high - and everything else on very high - I can get around 25ish consistently. During heavy firefights it may drop down to 20, but I have never seen it go lower than that. Running the game at 1680x1050, no AA, 8x AF. Specs are Q6600 @ 3.42Ghz, 4GB of RAM, 8800GTX at 671/2200.
