What kind of heatsink would you use with these processors.

Is the 1.2 ghz processor worth the extra $30.00. Also it looks like I'll be needing a heatsink and fan for either processor. Recommendations greatly appreciated.

Do plan on overclocking? What kind of programs do you use? For $30 extra I'd go for the 1.2Ghz and have an extra 200Mhz. Both CPUs can likely hit a 1.4Ghz overclock.

If you plan on regular use or mild overclock I'd recommend the TaiSol CGK 760032. It's a great overall heatsink, one of my favorties. It's not very loud either. If you want to go for the 1.4 or 1.5Ghz overclock go for the Thermalright SK6. But it comes with a Delta fan, which are really loud. You could buy the sink and then get a quieter fan seperate, it's up to you.

I don't plan on OCing. But I might just do it to see if I can. Thanks for the response. So you'd go with the 1.2 then?

Good advice by Swanny.

You may also want to upgrade the fan on the TaiSol to a YS Tech. It is still quiet and has a little more CFM's. Don't forget the Artic Silver II also

if you are gonna OC..and want some good cooling without venturing off into watercooling..then i recommend the swiftech mc-462a or sk-6...they are all copper HS...and have done the best in tests.

Some more standard heatsink like the VolcanoII would be good enough if not o/c, but if you want to try how about the GWFOP38. It doesn't hurt to have extra cooling.
