do you have a matress pad cover?
Memory foam is known for being a bit warm. Latex is much cooler.
do you have a matress pad cover?
odd question, but its a real concern....
How much funking on a foam mattress? Springs kind of add to the fun dont they?
It's simple really. Foam feels warm because its a great insulator. Touch a peice of metal right now. It will feel cold. That is because it conducts heat very well. The gel probably just conducts heat better than foam.
Where is it conducting it to? I'm lying on this bitch for 7 or 8 hours, does it end up in a wormhole somewhere? Thanks for the physics lesson though.

After spending 5 mins looking at that website I got a huge sense of fear. Ill never be able to read all thatIf you're like me and you like to read a very large amount into pricier, longer lasting products, I found this useful when I wanted to read up on beds:
http://www.themattressunderground.com/
Read the articles or go on the forums and read any topic with a reply from Phoenix. That user knows everything about mattresses.
If you want to know what I ended up with:
http://www.rockymountainmattress.com/component-beds/the-coolcomfort-10/
Customizable memory foam.

whatever you do just don't buy a cheap matress. spend the extra money to get a good quality one that will last. you spend 1/4 - 1/3 of your life on your bed, might as well get some quality out of a mattress.
i got a w heavenly bed and have had it for like 4-5 years. it owns.
Of all the mattresses I've slept on, memory foam has been my favorite so far. I think I might try latex for my next one though.
Thread marked. I'm in a similar spot, tho willing to spend upwards of a grand. What size are you looking for OP? I was thinking of a queen (although ideally I'd like a king) as it's also Me(260 lb)+SO(105 lb)+dog (30 lb). I"m really worried about wearing my side out far earlier than her side.
