I've been on charcuterie platter kick lately. Costco had iberico ham from Spain during the Christmas holiday for $90 /lb so I bought whole bunch. So I've been making charcuterie platter like once a week.

Pan fried turbot coated with a little potatoe starch. Will drizzle some soy sauce with ginger garlic, sesame oil, vinegar, sugar, white pepper, and green onion.





There is also soy chicken, bbq duck, firm tofu, jasmince rice and miso soup.

salami, ham, mushroom, cheese calzone


fresh baked wheat bread. (my wife is awesome baker.)


chili with the wheat bread. perfect winter comfort food



10 lbs of steamed king crab legs. my nephew wanted some crab legs. food always taste better when you crave something.

I like fried, steamed, char grilled. Not a fan of baked. That is a two pound turbot.

I am stuffed.
That would have made a nice baked fish dish.

I like to use foil to make a boat of sorts for the fish and I add other ingredients for flavour plus a bit of liquid. Bake at 400F for 20 to 30 mins and you get the most tenderest, moistest fish ever.

I do like deep fried but that is not the healthiest choice.

You are basically poaching, I would rather steam.

My problem is getting live sea fish to steam.

I prefer my fish dead before cooking it.

I used to catch and cook rock bass at my uncle's cottage just outside of Smiths Falls, Ontario.

Just did a chicken liver sautee with onions, mushrooms, garlic and some wine over basmati rice cooked in broth. Not a pretty looking dish but always a tasty one.

I made an excellent fettuccine with a Romano cheese tomato sauce and hot Italian sausage.

It is delicious!
