I don't cook but this looked simple and tasty.

I decided to create a salmon rice casserole and came up with this recipe:

2 cups of parboiled rice
2 cans of pink salmon
3/4 cup of frozen peas & carrots
1 small can of kernel corn
1 small chopped onion
1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 500ml carton of table cream
a handful of fresh dill weed
1 tb spoon of seasoned salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tb spoon of Italian seasoning
and some water to bring the liquid volume up to what I needed

I then stirred everything up and covered it in foil and baked it at 375F for around a hour and 10 minutes.

When it was done I gave it a mixing and the rice looked perfect. I then added a layer of shredded cheddar cheese and baked it for another 5 minutes or so. I took it out and let it cool down for about 15 minutes and then served it up.

It tastes great. Not over powering but very tasty.

Started smoking some chicken wings and short ribs today. The short ribs are still in the smoker but the wings were ready.

Smoked chicken and homemade cherry ice cream because we harvested so many cherries this year.

Smoker doing its thing on the chicken and short ribs.

I have had it in a French comsommé with trouffles. Don't remember the name of the soup anymore.
Sorry if I was coming off as a little abrasive. That was not my intention. I just thought it was kind of neat that you used daylilies in a meal prep. It's just not something that you see very often and I thought it was cool.

No biggie. Pretty common in Chinese food I think. And it's one of my favourite ingredients in soup. Spicy and sour soup has it, so does mu-shu pork.
