Might be better to flip it. I've been debating getting a korean one myself, but the main thing holding me back is its stand. From the videos I've seen, the stand looks really flimsy and not very adjustable.

People make a bigger deal out of the stand than it is. It definitely isn't a great stand, but I had no issues with it when I set it up. It wasn't easy to tilt but once it was in place it wasn't going anywhere. To be fair I had it hooked up for a very short period of time since I packed it back up to return it, but I didn't anticipate any issues. You can also VESA mount it or buy a replacement stand on Amazon or Ebay for under $30. If all that's holding you back is the stand I'd say go for it.

I think I'm going to just return mine, I don't want to hassle with reselling it and having to pay to ship it to someone and maybe end up with 50 or 100 bucks for the trouble. Then there is always the chance of it getting damaged in shipping and I end up with nothing, not worth the worry since I don't know anyone local who wants it

Eizo FG2421 - 23.5" at 120 Hz. Just going from 60 Hz --> 120 Hz was fantastic and I'm never ever going back (work laptop excluded ). Having non-crappy colors and blacks is great as well.

Gamed on a 30" for 5-6 years and loved it. Bought a 24" 1080p monitor that does 120hz Lightboost and have used that almost exclusively for the past 6 months. The colors don't look as good as the 30" (and much less real estate of course) but the difference in motion clarity is huge. If a game doesn't need 120hz, then I stick with the 30", otherwise it's the Lightboost monitor.

This is exactly the setup I'm going to go for. I have a 120hz benQ already, I'm just looking for a good 1440p monitor now. Might end up waiting for G-sync.

A 1440/1600p monitor is still very nice to have because of all the productivity real estate. I can't wait for the 27" 1440p 120hz IPS Lightboost models to arrive (probably dreaming at this point).

YUP

I'm wondering if it's a waste to wait though... 1440p does seem really nice for 95% of my computer uses, I just don't want to buy something now only to have a really nice 1440p monitor come out a month later... The Korean monitors have my attention right now simply because they can overclock above 60hz.

This is exactly what I'm waiting for. Right now I have a 27" 1080p 60Hz. Until 27"/1440/120Hz/Lightboost becomes affordable ($300-$400) I see no reason to upgrade.

In my sig is my display collection. At the end of the day and even with several 1440 displays that can easily do 100Hz I still prefer the 30Q5 Pro for gaming..

I'm looking at the 30Q5 right now. What kind of Hz can these things do?

Got a 27" DELL IPS @ 1440p. Any word on when IPS panels with 120hz or Gsync are coming out? That'll be the day....

Have 1080p @ 75 hz right now. Will decide between 1440p@120hz and G-Sync 1080p@144hz when G-Sync comes out.

I'm heavily leaning G-Sync though.

32" 1080P @ 60hz. It works for me, but I'd like to try a higher rez, and higher hz. I can't afford a 30" but I'm a bit weary of going down to a 27"

Overlord Tempest X270OC 27-inch 2560x1440 IPS @ 120Hz.

Can't see myself gaming on anything else until G-Sync arrives (and even then I might wait till G-Sync is available at 2560x1440)

58" 1080p plasma for the vast majority of games. Metro last light in ranger mode was spectacular on the plasma. Play a lot of dark games.

Have a 30" 25x16, but lcd blacks are just shit. I've found many games to look like crap when you actually look at them up close too. Plus it's a lot easier to run games at good frames on the tv.

My runs 72Hz overclocked but really cant tell the difference between the stock 60Hz. I considered buying two more as they pivot and having them all in portrait mode but the Bezels would probably annoy me so am waiting for HDMI 2.0 or display port to be on a 4K for under $1000US..

Right now a crappy Dell S2209W. I plan on upgrading for BF4 and Titanfall as a Xmas gift to myself. I just need to figure out what sub $500 24" monitor to go with.
