What kind of monitor do you use for gaming?

I'm still on a 1200p for now, but I'm looking at 1440/1600p monitors to replace it fairly soon.

Dell U3011 2560x1600 at 60Hz.

Tried to go with a 120hz monitor and the color was just awful compared to my Dell's. Never thought I'd say it but I'm spoiled by them. Also I think the refresh gave me a headache. I like gaming on my 30's.

I game either in window at 1080 since I don't sit far away or full screen depending how I feel.

overclocked. Im pretty sure you cant buy an out of the box 120hz 1440P solution. But there are quite a few people running these

I have one at home but they sent me the matte version when I ordered the glossy so I have to send it back to Korea and find another seller because they haven't had the glossy in 6 months (they tell me after I order one) -shakes fist-

The worst part is the one I got has virually no backlight bleed and no dead pixels. It easily overclocked to 96hz and with my new rig would probably have been fine at 120hz. Except for being matte, it's perfect Maybe I should try to resell it instead of returning, wonder if I could get a premium for it...

I'm a loser, I guess. I'm still gaming on a 22" 1680x1050 at 65Htz LCD screen. I've had this monitor for 6 1/2 years and it looks as good as it did on day 1 so I'm having a hard time justifying upgrading to a 2560x1444 27" LED 120HTz screen.

Might be better to flip it. I've been debating getting a korean one myself, but the main thing holding me back is its stand. From the videos I've seen, the stand looks really flimsy and not very adjustable.

I too sometimes game at a lower res (in a black box) on my 30" to boost performance or to boost my performance. I seriously am better competitively on a smaller viewable surface area than a big one.

I game on a Dell U2713HM @2560*1440.

I used to game on 1920*1200. The resolution was a nice boost but moving to an IPS display was the real kicker there. I would never be able to go back to a TN display.

1440 IPS. I wish it was faster than 60hz but I can't go back to a lower resolution 1080 TN panel just for a faster refresh rate. IPS @ 1440p just looks so clean.

I'll stick with this until affordable, sub $750, 120hz 4k panels are out in three or four years. I'm happy with my setup for now.

Depends on the game. Sometimes its one dell ultrasharp U2412M. Sometimes its two.

I have a NEC 2490 WUxi2 that I will sometimes break out as well, for triple monitor stuff. Not as good for gaming but its fun nonetheless.

I use 1080p 144hz@120Hz. I have a U2711 attached as well, but I dont play games on it, just the 144Hz monitor. I will add the Gsync module to the 144hz monitor, then probably look at 1440p+ Gsync monitors when they become available.

Recently moved up from the 28" in my sig to a LG 39LN5300 tv for gaming. Lots of real estate to view. PC Gaming on big screen is nice.

I use 3 Monitors of 2560x1440 in Eyefinity .. Love it but the bazel is annoying .. I would prefer in future to go for a Curved 4K .. but that's at least 4-5 years from now.

I voted "4k" because you had no Eyefinity-resolution monitor resolutions like 5760x1080 (which is basically "3k."
