What kind of OC can I expect with thi setup

I am getting an
C2D E4300
Gigabyte P965-DS3
2x1GB SuperTalent DDR2 PC 5400 RAM

The kicker is I'm going to just go as far as I can with stock cooling. I hope to make it to 2.8 or so. Is this too high with just stock?

I know my max is 3.0 with that RAM, and that is fine, I just would like to do it without spending much more.

I just ordered this exact combo from ewiz myself, Mikey. Here's to hoping! I am going to go with either a Thermalright Ultra 120 or Scythe Ninja for cooling, however, so it will be interesting to see the differences. Good luck!

I say 3+ but get a nicer HSF for above 3.

2.8 definitely won't be a problem, even with the stock heatsink. Almost all E4300's are doing 3.0, but some are requiring fairly large amounts of voltage to do so. For 2.8 Ghz, you'll either be able to do it on stock voltage, or very close, so the stock heatsink will be fine.

Grab a decent cooler, they don't cost that much, the retail Intel HS sort of sucks. The way it mounts puts a lot of stress on the motherboard. Check the reviews for good ideas, great ones can be had for under $30!!

Freezer 7 are cheap and you can more than likely hit 3.0 on that
