What magazines do you actually pay cash to subscribe?

I am sure many of you get a lot of magazines, paid for or free, so do I.

There is only 1 magazine that I pay cash for.

Bloomberg markets magazine, about $50 for 2 years, 24 issues.

None. Internet is better in almost all ways. In a few years people will laugh when they look back at magazines.

As convenient as the internet is for getting information, I prefer the physical aspects of magazines. It's the same reason why I'll always buy books and never get an e-book reader.

Would like a subscription to draft magazine as well as wax poetics

Always get them on the ridiculous sales they have...

Wired and The Economist

Thinking about dropping Wired since their writing has gotten terrible over the past few years and every month the issue gets slimmer and slimmer. However it only costs like $10/year so it's not too bad. The Economist is sorta expensive, but totally worth it.

I prefer magazines also, but not enough to buy them. The information's too limited for the cost. If I had a magic magazine that provided information like the web does, I'd prefer that format.

after a few months they just start going in the junk mail pile. outdated information ftl.

Quite a few. Reader's Digest, Forbes, Fortune, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Money, a couple hobby magazines, World, Wired, Inc. Most I get dirt-cheap from Publishers Clearing House, the others have sent me offers too good to pass up (like a year of Forbes for $10).

I don't see how anyone can think websites are better than print unless you're only reading for pure entertainment.

no, try reading more text heavy stuff like the economist or such on the web, it doesn't flow naturally and the inability to quickly flip pages around is a chore. the more short light and fluffy the more it fits the web. the web is all about tldr after all.

None, I prefer electronic material. Greener, and less clutter in my house. I'm not even subscribed to the local newspaper. I do get the Timmins Times once a week which is free (I don't know how they manage that tbh) but that's about it.

QFT. I used to subscribe to The Economist, but it got too expensive. I may break down and resubscribe though, I like having some issues around to read at my leisure.

None in actual cash. I get The Economist, but I pay with airline miles every year. My annual Christmas flight to San Diego pays for it.
