What is the matter with kids nowdays ?

Then there were no computers, TV had 2 stations, the county was dry, the streets rolled up at 8PM, the one traffic lite turned off at 9PM.

One had to find their own amusement.

Used to tie rope to garbage cans across the street, (used to be all metal garbage cans 20 yrs ago.)

People would come speeding down the street at night, and the garbage cans would slam into the sides of their car.

Pissed them off pretty bad.

Ride bikes down the street and kick garbage cans down.

 

I used to be a downright criminal.

The gang and I used to:

-Break into the "model homes" in the gated community where one of my friends lived.
-Break into school, mostly steal candy from concession stand.
-Steal mail from mailboxes.
-Break into cars and steal change out of ash trays.
-(The worst) Waterballoon slingshot. Oranges & Grapefruits. Destruction. We used to get on the roof of the apartment complex next to the little league field and shoot citrus fruits at kids. Never really AT them, but into fences and stuff nearby them, scaring the bejesus out of'em. We also used to shoot at the back of the chinese restaurant behind my house. Break out the fence planks. We broke a lady's jaw accidentaly, got her right in the face with a grapefruit moving at 85mph. My dad made us go apologize, there were cops and everything cruising the area, but we never got in any official trouble because the lady was an illegal immigrant so "no trouble, no trouble." That was bad.

Hmmm, what else... Geez, it's been so long (4 years ). I wasn't very bad as a little kid, though. Just those punk-teenager years.

hmmm, judging from what i did, compared to the ones already listed here, sounds like i'm an angel... let me share them anyway...

- when i was a wee little kid, i used to go to our fridge, grab all the eggs, run to our living room, and break them on the marble floor... then i'd call my little brother and have him "swim" on the eggs
- i made this guy cry in 3rd grade. all i did was pinch his arm (wimp)!
- there's this girl i 'picked-on' in hs... in one instance, we were stepping on each other's foot in history class, and just as she stepped on my shoe, our teacher caught her -- of course, she tried to explain that i was doing it too, but the teacher remarked, "she's always behaved in my class. you do not."
- that same girl was running after me in gym class (for some odd reason -- i think i took her hairclip or something), and because she wasn't in good shape, she stumbled on a bag and twisted her ankle (ouch!).

I'm a good boy. I am only mean to this one kid who only knows the "old Deeko" and not the "new Deeko". well, we'll just say he learned his lesson.

Red Dawn, I just turned 16, does that mean I have nothing useful to say? Most of my posting is in General Hardware, and I know just as much, if not more than many of the people there. But I'm 16, so I shouldn't talk...next time someone has a question that I know the answer to, I'll be sure to not answer it because I'm not old enough for what I say to matter.

Ok, I'm no angel but I try to avoid hurting other kids feelings unless they have it coming. But I do happen to have one cruel example.

There was this one incredibly fat and annoying kid, that took to calling Evanoid cause I spent a lot of working with electronics and stuff. Well it wasn't annoying at first but after awhile this fat kid snorting out Evanoid everytime he passed me in the hall pissed me off. So I created an email account at hotmail using the kid's name (ie john_smith@hotmail.com). This was right before 8th grade graduation and the big graduation dance. This kid also happened to be a loser cause he managed to piss everyone off, so its not like he was popular. Me and a few friends emailed the apopular girl at school pretending to be him and asked her to dance with him a couple days before the dance.

Well at the dance a few of us finally convinced this kid to ask her to dance, and she ran to the bathroom and hid from him when he approached. It was the funniest thing ever A couple of nights later one of my best friends had a graduation party and we broke into his dad's liqour cabinet and had a little fun. We wrote another email from the hotmail account saying how broken up this kid was and that he loved the girl that ran from him. We were sure to mention how he had turned to food, TV, video games, and crying into his pillow to comfort himself and how he'd gained about 10lbs in a week. All this was done in rhyming poem form and was incredibly hilarious. We fowarded a copy to the kid as well as sent one to her. Its so fricken funny and the girl that was innocent in this whole thing is still scared of this fat kid.

Yes that was cruel, but he deserved it. Last year we also exiled him, in which we gave him a letter that stated that he was not allowed to approach anyone in our group until he combed his hair, bought clothes other than wilson athletic stuff, improved his hygine and got rid of the stink, lost some weight so that he could fit through any standard size doorway, etc...

when i was in 2nd grade i think, i use to jump on everyone's lunchboxes...there was a place to put them after you ate, and i jumped on them and you weren't able to open them anymore...i got in lots of trouble for that...

i also threw putty in someone's hair...teacher got hella mad at me for that too...

Why does everyone pick on the fat kid? Having been a fat kid all of my life (i'm 16)i know how it feels. So he called you "Evanoid" all the time, yank yank. Just be the bigger man and walk away, no pun intended. And i agree with the hygiene stuff. I take 2 showers a day. Ever think that he lived in poverty, couldn't afford utilities (yeah right i know). As a side remark, i play football, and am very well liked by everbody.

As for mean things, last year me and my friend stole a bra off of a lady's clothesline, needless to say we got caught and had to pay for a new one.

Its not cause he was the fat kid, its cause he was the annoying kid. I probably exaggerated when I said incredibly fat cause I hate him now, he still continues to pester me and others. He's probably the most arrogant person I have met and cannot stand him. The fact that he attempted to make fun of me and I barely even knew him pretty much proves that. I have a few friends who would be considered "fat" and I'm hardly skinny myself. I don't make fun of people because of physical appearence, I make fun cause they deserve it. The fact that he was overweight was just ammunition I guess you can say.

BTW: I only included my side of the insults, its not like he didn't retaliate.

Well in elementary I'd often get pounded by this group of 8 kids, or crap like that.
One day I was fed up and I took a large block of ice and smashed it in one of their faces.

We (the boys) used to go around punching each other in the nads (what were we thinking??). Plus the usual assortment of wedgies, wet willies, swirlies, etc....
