ASRock 775Dual-VSTA for motherboard
and
For Ram

You might have better luck searching around the forums, there are hundreds of posts like yours asking the same questions.

Wait a minute!
You want him to buy $485 worth of RAM with $350 CPU and put that all on a $55 MOBO?
Right...

Eraser2k1nin, how much do you want to spend on your mobo and RAM?

If you are going for a price/performance setup then I think you will want to get the Abit A9-PRO or the Bioforce TForce P965 Deluxe.
As for RAM, I got the 2GB A-DATA Vitesta DDR-533 memory because Anandtech said it overclocks really well for only $150 bucks. Others seem to be getting the OCZ DDR2-800 GOLD 2GB kit for about $200.

If you are going for sheer performance with no budget then it looks like your best bet right now is to get the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe motherboard for $250. As for RAM I'm not really sure but that article talks about the OCZ DD2-1066 Platinum EL.

Well that is my 2 cents and I hope it helps.

On Newegg I saw 2GB DDR2-800 kits from OCZ and G.Skill for $150-160. $485 is ridiculous!!!!

If you are positively sure you will not overclock, then there is no need to pay premium $$ for anything over DDR2 533.

I would go for some Corsair Value Select, DDR2 533. A couple of 1GB sticks should only be about $145'ish. I have 4GB of this stuff, and it works flawlessly.

If you purchase the DDR2 667, 800 stuff, its still going to run at DDR2 533, while you run it with Conroe. (Unless you manually tweak the memory configuration and change the speed it runs at).

I'm not sure what I want to spend ..I guess no more than $400 for both. Again I don't plan on overclocking anything...

So you give out horrible advice to punish them? Your a hell of a guy!! I'd rather you just act like a jackass to my face and tell me to go do my own research rather then waste my time and my money by purchasing components that aren't comprable to each other.

I would definitely go for the A-DATA Vitesta DDR2-533. It will run at a 1:1 ratio with the CPU at stock speeds and if you do decide to overclock in the future it has some great potential to overclock as well.

And if you want to keep things really cheap just go for the ASRock 775 DUAL-VSTA motherboard. If you don't do much gaming at then it's definitely a great board as it keeps up pretty well for only $55. If you are into high res gaming then go for the Gigabyte DS3 for about $150. It overclocks really well and can hold you over until some new 965 boards come out.

Guess you have trouble reading, because under my smartass comment i clearly posted:
"You might have better luck searching around the forums, there are hundreds of posts like yours asking the same questions. "

Im sorry that the OP is so lazy, really i am. All 100000 posts in this forum about conroe aside, there are multiple reviews on the main page giving motherboard and memory suggestions.
I would be more than happy to offer suggestions if he had something specific to go with his question. He had no budget, no specific requirments other than he wont overclock. That has been CLEARLY answered in anandtechs reviews AND 1000 posts.
Its also ironic that you contributed less than i did in this thread.
