I'm gonna buy one for my mom, but I don't want to end up with a crappy one.

So I'll go with whatever you guys have the most of.

Thanks!

I would grab the mx1000 in a heartbeat if I wasn't left-handed. Logitech doesn't seem to give a crap about the 20-25% of the population that uses the mouse with their left hand.

I use a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 (damn that was a long name to type ). It has worked flawlessly for me, however I have been tempted to switch to the new MX1000 laser mouse Only reason I haven't is because I've had bad experiences with Logitech in the past (pointer moving opposite from the direction I'm trying to make it go, or it'll skip around the desktop rather than keeping up with my movement. I've heard from many others though that they've had no problems with logitech. I'm sure either would suit your needs though.

Not sure exactly the model. All I know is its a wireless keyboard+mouse I got on black friday for $15 at Fry's. Like others have said I would recommend a logitech also.

I use the mouse that came with my M$ Wireless Desktop v2.0, it's optical but pretty basic. I'm hoping to get a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse set for Christmas.

I don't think the mouse has the resolution that my old wired M$ Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 had. It seems like it jumps from time to time when I'm playing a strenuous FPS game.

Logitech MX510 is alright by me. I used to have a wireless (MS) mouse but I didn't like the battery replacement game. The size is perfert for me and my wife (even my little daughter).

Logitech rocks!

Wheel Mouse Optical. I have 3 of 'em ( work, home, kids PC), with another still in the box for my new rig.

for office use or gaming, a cheap good old mouse is the old mx300, or its purple colored equivelant (i use that one). i've been using it for years, and it's never failed me (though i had to clean it down every so often cause my hands sometimes get sweaty while gaming, but that's probably common among all mice). its uni-hand too.

lol I game alot and leave it off the station so i'm always pushing buttons in FPS games. I guess thats why mine lasts one week. I thought that was good lol, but the point is you never have to buy batteries
