Fast and the Furious (1st)...watched it 3 times at the movie theater
The problem is that the first one could easily exist as a standalone story, and the sequels felt tacked on. I think the more pointed religious analogies also turned people off. Personally, I could get past all of that, I thought the special effects sucked, were just really stupid (the flying, the crinkling up of the semis, the Agent Smith multi-fight, and then the super slo-mo fight at the very end between him and Neo). It was like a wannabe goth CG version of Dragonball (which I'm not a fan of). I think the only special effects I really liked in them was the ghost twins and the mech-like machine gun suits when the machines breached the one place. Oh, and how can you forget the GM/Cadillac product placement. I almost forgot about the endless rave scene. Personal note: I remember some weird guy dressed in full cape-like trench coat and sunglasses kept walking into and out of the theater during the third film. He would walk in, up the aisle and then back out. It was just sorta, WTF?
How could anyone not like that movie???!!! Vin Diesel
Be honest with yourself: The Matrix 2 has absolutely no merit.
none whatesoever.
Then again...self-reflection must be tough for a Battlefield Earth-liking closet scientologist.
Noooo, you lying to yourself. You know who else lied to himself? Hitler.
look, you just answered your own question!
What?! Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe was pretty well received (only behind Harry Potter and LotR really), its sequel was not. Raising Arizona, I don't think most people have seen it, but its generally favored (in fact I've seen a lot asking WTF happened to Nic Cage after that). It is pretty corny though. Romancing the Stone is really well liked. 2 Days in the Valley is fairly well liked by those who have seen it. Likewise with 21 Grams. Milo & Otis...that's a definitive kids movie. As Good As It Gets was popular and well reviewed.
Of course I don't have any room to talk with mine.
I must be out of touch with the world then. Every time I say nice things about those movies on ATOT I get bitch-slapped like a little bitch.
Alexander was the worst movie in the history of the planet.
starship troopers 3 mauraders. Makes my gf gag to watch it
I agree with you about matrix 2 and for the harsh reasons you state, I think it shows problems in a person's inherent wiring. The Rock, though, I really did like.Yeah, I understand Independance Day and everything, But it blows the mind how one can ignore the blatant lack of respect the filmmakers have for those shelling out money to sit through shit like Matrix 2 and The Rock. To me, that is never fun...
People hate on stuff like X-Men 3, Godfather 3 (with good cause), whatever, but I can sit through those and enjoy them. Of course they aren't my favorites--not quite, or nearly as good as the others--but enjoyable none the less.
Magnolia was unwatchable.People don't like Alexander? I thought it was well done. Not a favourite, but it has more than enough good scenes and is high quality.
Magnolia is my absolute favourite movie, and is pretty love-hate.
WW was sweet.Waterworld- Some cheesy CG and the plot was over the top but I enjoyed the movie overall.
Magnolia was unwatchable.
WW was sweet.
The Core.
Probably the only way you can make her gag.
