Hopscotch. Easily in my top ten movies.

Some people think this movie is ultra boring, I watched it 6 times in the theaters: Master and Commander.

The Postman, I watched it and didn't regret seeing it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't nearly as bad as what I'd heard .

And, this one I really am embarrased to admit.

Postal.
A fvcking Uwe Boll video game to movie.
Maybe I enjoy it only because I loved the games Postal & Postal 2.

Who doesn't like Raising Arizona? That movie is hilarious.

I like Waterworld too. I think it's another movie that didn't live up to the hype, but a good movie. IIRC, at the time it was the biggest budget ever for a Movie, so expectations were very high for it.

Someone above said Raising Arizona, but I've never really heard anyone say they disliked that film before.

I think that is definitely the case for Waterworld. It cost something like $175 million to make so everyone was quick to try and chop it down I guess. It sill ended up making $264+ million worldwide, which is pretty decent.

Battlefield Earth-- I think most hate it because it failed to be Epic like Dune or the original Star Wars. I think it's perfectly fine and entertaining though.

Independence Day-- Entertaining movie.

.

ya, forgot about these two. i was entertained by both, and will still watch battlefield earth when it comes on cable.

This should be in my mailbox when I get home today. I've heard from a couple of people that it's pretty fun, but we shall see.

Yeah, I understand Independance Day and everything, But it blows the mind how one can ignore the blatant lack of respect the filmmakers have for those shelling out money to sit through shit like Matrix 2 and The Rock. To me, that is never fun...

People hate on stuff like X-Men 3, Godfather 3 (with good cause), whatever, but I can sit through those and enjoy them. Of course they aren't my favorites--not quite, or nearly as good as the others--but enjoyable none the less.

I can't fathom the mind of someone who thinks The Rock is a film that shows the filmmakers have no respect for the audience while defending X-Men 3. X-Men 3? Really? Over The Rock? That's absurd.

As for the question at hand, lots of popcorn action flicks. Con Air, Commando, Rambo 2 and 3, etc. Sometimes you feel like a movie where willing suspension of disbelief isn't even enough; you can't possibly believe it, but it's fun to watch shit blow up.

But that still doesn't save Transformers 2.

Don't blame me if you hate it. After all, he is pretty much the worst director in the history of movies. He makes Wood look like Kubrick!

Everyone I know considers it a dumb action movie and disposable, but the movie got to me in a personal way...I'd say it's in my personal top ..25.. vs action junk

Tank Girl, I thought Lori Petty was hilarious in it, but the movie was a critical and commercial failure.

Ya, V for Vendetta was a great movie, bought the DVD(actually hadn't seen it yet).

The Postman I also liked. I think it was panned due to Water World and Kevin Costner. He did Dances with Wolves which was universally loved, but both Water World and Postman were practically Clones of that Movie, as far as Costner's Character was concerned. Water World kinda tainted Costner, deserved or not. He's a good Actor though and got a bum rap.
