Lucid Air. Surprised to see one near my house.

I saw one of them wrecked last night. Don't even wanna know how much that's gonna cost.

Finally saw one of the Ioniq 6 (I didn't know it was available in the US yet). It looks about the same in person. Different but it doesn't do anything for me. Car designers can fall over themselves like they do with the old Citroen (that always gets called "most beautiful car" by car designers), but it still looks wonky. Granted I'll still take it over the 50 billion compact crossover EVs we've been getting. With some minor changes I think the Ioniq 6 would be much better looking. The headlights in particular stand out as an area that could be improved. Saw it in 2 different colors (one red and one silver).

Oh and I saw one of the Maserati MC20s or whatever their new mid-engined car is. Looks good but I feel the same about it as I do about the R8, they went out of their way to make it uglier to give it more character. I think they really missed a chance to go classically curvy with it. I feel like its even outright odd considering the rest of their lineup is curvier. Also not a fan of the overly designed rear windows/clamshells on these modern mid-engine cars.

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing. The car is just a shrunk down version of their GrandTurismo which is also very similar to their other two sedans. It's very smooth and flowy compared to a lot of supercars that have more hard edges. If you negate the aero, there's practically no hard edges on the car.

Saw this woman driving the Mustang EV. She thought I was checking her out, but I was into the Mustang. Not a mile down the road, when I saw a Lamborghini Huracán. What a hot looking ride!

tbh I'd take the Mach-E over the Lambo. The electric Mustang is one of the best cars I've ever driven...comfy, great tech, room for everyone. I'm still miffed they called it a Mustang (Mustang to me = RWD, gas, coupe, not AWD, electric, SUV...should have called it the Stallion or something lol), but honestly it's a really, really fantastic car. I later test-drove the F-150 EV & that is hands-down the best vehicle PERIOD that I have ever driven! I was really surprised at how amazing the F-150 Lightning was! Ford is really knocking it out of the park these days!

Yeah, calling the EV Mustang was nuts! I've seen the F-150 Lightning, and it looked like any other F-150. My Ford dealer didn't have either EV when I last went there for an oil change. I was shocked to hear that Ford is losing money with their EV lineup.

It's all a marketing game...all major companies "lose money" year after year, and yet somehow continue to post record profits, because they have sneaky (yet legal!) accounting systems lol. They made $1.8 billion in Q1 2023 alone:

But yeah, I think that's one of the genius moves on Ford's part, to make the Lightning look exactly the same as a regular truck. It doesn't look like a Prius, it doesn't look like a Cybertruck, it's just an EV you can slide right into easily! It doesn't feel any different inside than an ICE truck, other than being ridiculously fast, smooth, and quiet! I almost cancelled my Cybertruck pre-order after I test-drove it (but I want that 500-mile range lol).

Went to the local Ford dealer today to have some service done on my Mustang and saw this awesome Ford Taurus SHO on the lot. Was super clean with low miles. I almost asked to take it for a test drive just for the nostalgia but didn't. Man this thing was a blast from the past. lol

yeah but the only reason you left out "V8" from your requirement list there, when it is a requirement for a mustang, is because yours doesn't have one!

otherwise, I agree. they should have named the hideous looking thing something far away from the mustang.

Ahem, I beg to differ. It is the best Mustang if you really think about it. Passenger space, cargo space, and performance are next to none in the Mustang lineup. After living with one for the past seven months and 2,700 miles(4345 km)I have to say that hands down it is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Besides, looks are subjective. Just look at how hideous my Mustang is.

I saw the very odd Ferrari FF today. I couldn't BELIEVE how long the nose was in person! It looks RIDICULOUS lol! IRL, the hood looks about 2 feet longer than this picture, it was really weird to see!

I actually had very serious plans to buy a FF. Before Covid, you could get nice condition used models for 90-100k with less then 15k miles. I assumed at the time that that trend would continue and after I got rid of my current car I'd grab a nice one for like 90k. Then Covid hit and since then they hover around $130-150k for those same examples. They're a fairly reliable AWD Ferrai with decent trunk room, seating for 4 and a NA V12. I mean, come on. Some of the aftermarket exhausts they have for this car sound glorious.

Turns out it was due to a somewhat poor CAD drawing, although I also think it looked a little wonky in person (similar to how I feel like the R8 looks). I think it might've been the paint (was that sorta blue/grey primer colored that I think looks awful on every car). I wouldn't call it a shrunk down GranTurismo. Other pics of the MC20 it definitely looks curvier and better proportioned and designed, and more like what I was saying it should be, where they ditched the weird overstylized and especially weirdly squared/edgy parts of modern Ferrrari designs for instance.

Compared to this pic which is curvier and lines flow more smoothly

No it's a car I promise. It has everything a car has. Tires, an engine, a steering wheel, seats....you know...car stuff.
I even proved that to @sdifox

See I have proof that it is a car. It says so right on the cardboard Also, thank you for thinking so highly of me. You kinda made me blush.

All I see in this picture is a steering wheel and a seat. How do we actually know it has tires or even other seats? Please provide photos of the engine as well.

Actually, I think you should put a "V8" in your Mustang Mach-e.

Maybe even more than one!

It's good to have emergency food and drink in your car.

I saw an electric Polestar 2 today. Never seen one in-person or on the road before!

It looks a little funny from the back, like an angular top hat, but the LED tailights are pretty cool!
