The main part of this madness is here because people who are paid $160,000 + benefits couldn't bother to do their jobs for four years and pass a budget.I am not a fan of Obamacare myself, but I don't think Ted Cruz and the like should get their way. This madness is reckless political action to the extreme. I hope those districts elect more moderate republicans next time. They only look like bafoons right now.
Maybe the next thing they'll do for attention is to jam through a bill without any Democrat votes while saying they have to pass it so you can find out what's in it.They've been begging for it, like a naughty small child who craves attention, any attention. They'll do nearly any silly thing that comes to mind to get it, too, like lighting the house on fire.
So Republicans threw a temper tantrum over defunding Obamacare by shutting down the gov't, and will now 2 weeks later get literally next to zero Obamacare-related concessions. Any fiscal conservative here want to defend this waste of time and tax dollars?

Republicans have offered to fund all parts of the government except Obamacare. It is Obama and Reid who have refused to fund 99% of government and then argue over the last 1% after that.

The main waste is that the government wasn't shut down eight or so years ago already.
How long before most republicans start attacking and fighting back against the tea party republicans?

So Heritage sunk the vote for tonight and it looks like Heritage will sink any vote for the end of the Shutdown.
That means there's roughly ~100 congressmen that will vote No to raising the debt ceiling, or ending the shutdown. In other words the only way to end the shutdown is for Boehner to allow a vote he knows ~100 of his members will oppose.
Like I said before, the only way to end the shutdown is for Boehner to jump on his sword.
The Tea Party publicly emasculated Boehner and sent his dick in a box to establishment Republicans with that move. At this point Republican leadership has to be coming to terms with the fact they are going to have to rely on House Democrats to get anything done on this. Trying to hold the caucus together now is futile lunacy. Boehner should put up that clean Senate resolution for a vote out of spite if for no other reason.
Yeah. I'm still waiting for Boehner to come to terms with the fact that he has more potential Democratic allies than Tea Party allies.
Funny stuff especially after I just skimmed the last 15 or so pages to remind myself what childish arguments and one-liners you've written. You are part of the problem. Your argument sounds like something a small child would say.
Find me one person who is not a Republican who thinks this is right.
Republicans already won the House. I remember some large-ego person saying elections have consequences.Absolutely wrong. Don't like Obamacare? Then win the executive branch or Senate, or both.
"Have Congress and the President enroll in Obamacare just like other Americans, or give everyone the same one-year opt-out option given to special interests."These extreme republicans are causing tremendous harm to our economy.
Fed workers will get back pay for zero productivity,
The plan includes a proposal offered by McConnell in the 2011 debt ceiling crisis that allows Congress to disapprove of the debt ceiling increase, which means lawmakers will formally vote on whether to reject a debt ceiling increase until Feb. 7. Obama can veto that legislation if it passes. If Congress fails as expected to gather a two-thirds majority to override the veto, the debt ceiling would be raised.

Though I do agree it's dumb to pay them back pay. I don't know why anyone for cutting waste and spending voted yes on that other than to score publicity points.

Color me completely shocked that you think that an election where the Republicans lost the Presidency and the Senate along with several House seats and lost the popular vote in all three contests means that America should do what Republicans want.
No kidding overall it's both parties' fault, dumbass. Except one party at least tried to compromise while the other held their breath. And now the debt will continue climbing just like it was. I wouldn't be surprised if you voted for more Republicans last election than I did.You really have a one track mind. First you point out how the politicians in general aren't doing their jobs; then suddenly it is all Obama / Reid's fault.
Here's a hint, dumbass: It's both parties fault. I know that is hard for you to comprehend because it involves blame to the GOP, but that's the reality of it. Quit living in fantasyland and think for two fucking seconds and you'd realize your super-high and mighty party is, at the very least, partially to blame for this mess.
