So, ummm, religion? Yep, me too.

Many religions are on my list (including the most popular ones in north america) but they are *far* from the only ones.

Stupid people who act arrogantly in class. Your 40s and 50s don't mean anything to you? Stop putting down people asking legit questions!

life would be boring if there was nothing to offend or to be offended by. So I just grab a  and chuckle.

Suspension of disbelief.
List makers (not todo lists).
Pretty much anyone who loudly declares their religious or political beliefs in public spaces.

Religion. It doesn't really offend me, I just hate that shit plaguing this planet. Just bringing that up in this thread to bitch out it, that is all.

People who take generalizations far too literally.

The sort of bicycle dillweed who spends $3k on a bike, a further thousand on gear, and then proceeds to ride a mile a day while violating every traffic law known to man.

Campagnolo freaks.

....hold on, that was redundant.

People who buy Priuses but own huge homes with in-ground heated pools.

People who by hybrid SUVs.

People who drive really badly.

People with fartcan exhausts.

2-stroke engines.

People who smoke weed in no-smoking hotel rooms that I'm forced to share with them.

People who think the world revolves around them.

I'd like people to really think about this. Not the fundies who already know but the ones who truly want to "live and let live". Why would a generally calm and reasonable person go ballistic when religion is shoved in his face? We'll save it for another thread and another time.

Heh, the real question is what gave them the right to act holier than thou even if they were religious and kept with the beliefs?

Where does one other person (besides your mom & pop, and maybe your grandparents) get the right to tell you what to do, how to act, or that you should do X because it's good for you based on their belief system?

Furthermore, where did they really get the right to act holier than thou in their own right?

According to them, we're SUPPOSED to be doing religious things, right?

So acting all arrogant after they are doing "what they're supposed to be doing" is like saying they are better than you or other people who don't do this stuff, stuff that they're supposed to be doing...

maybe that was confusingly worded, but anyhow, had enough of religion myself. I try to not to get offended by any of it though.

Eh, those aren't the people I'm talking about. I'm talking about the people that will introduce religion into unrelated threads so they can mock it, people who cannot pass any religious building without getting enraged, people who cannot be in the same room with a religious person without going off on how stupid they are.

If someone reacts to being force-fed hellfire and brimstone (even if masked in nice polite words) that is perfectly reasonable.

I'd just like to clarify, offend != pet peeve / annoyances.

Being appalled at a dead baby joke = offended
Being pissed because someone cut you in line at Wal Mart = annoyed
Being pissed because someone cut you in line at Wal Mart, then squeezed a dump out on your shoes and called your mother a ho = annoyed AND offended
