What p4 mobo that can use pc2100?

Hi everyone,

i just burned my ecs mobo and with the possibilities of burning my amd cpu too =(
i am looking for advise on new pentium 4 mobo, that accomodate pc2100.

the reason i looking for pc2100, is because i have 1 gb of memory that i don't want to go to waste.

i'm using my comp for everything, from drawing, gaming, and online almost 24/7

is there good p4 mobo that utilize pc2100?

845 is the chipset. Look for an i845 based mobo or Granite Bay also called E7205


Granite Bay is the name of Intel's first Dual channel DDR chipset. 2 sticks of PC2100 is what it was made to run. Checkout the Aopen AX4R Plus for $108 at newegg. Just a few months ago that thing was over $200 so it's a good deal now if you don't plan to get PC2700 anytime soon.

Even the latest Springdale motherboards support PC2100.

all p4 ddr capable mobo should be able to support pc2100. intel 845d, 845e, 845pe, 845g, all 865, 875, granite bay, sis 645dx, 648, 655, etc........... etc.

but why buy a springdale for $144 if you can get a Granite Bay for $108?

Especially if all you run is PC2100

Like you, I needed a solution (cheap $$$ in my case) to use PC2100 RAM along with a P4-2.0 CPU that I already have. This mobo has everything my wife needs!
