I currently have a SFF PC.
AMD 2000+
768 DDR at only 266
and a couple ATA 100 hard drives.
I've gotten to the point where I can't put up with the slow speed. I don't game, I mainly do photoshop, flashmx, dreamweavermx and other productivity apps. I listen to a lot of music and watch movies, but really never any gaming.
I want to go with a HT Pentium 4 and a new Shuttle XPC. I can't stray from the small format, I've fallen in love with it.
I am looking around and it seems you can get the new prescott 3.0's for cheaper then northwoods. However, I am reading that the 90nm core runs hot and I also found that the socket775 shuttle pcs are overpriced and none offer 6 USB2 ports.
I am thinking of getting the SB61G2BV4 and pairing it with the 3.0 northwood HT. However, because the SB61 has all the overclocking options and a 250W power supply, maybe I can get away with overclocking a slower HT northwood?
Any recommendations as to what I should do? I'm really not sure what to do as there are so many options it seems.
Thanks in advance!
