I have a Galaxy S4 that's on it's last legs.
- I want as pure a "Google Experience" as possible, and ideally I wouldn't have to put a custom ROM to achieve that, buf it everything else about a phone was awesome I'd be OK flashing a custom ROM. I'd just rather not have to deal with that anymore.
- 32GB, but 64GB preferred. Removable storage would be great.
- Removable battery would be good, if not, then be able to last ~1.5 days with moderate use.
- High DPI, anything better than what my S4 has is good.
- Don't care about games, but I do want the performance to be snappy. I notice delays in the UI even on the S4. My gf's Note 4 seems pretty smooth in this regard, even with Touchwiz.
- Google Fi support would be great. But if not, then be compatible with T-Mobile LTE.
- Don't care too much about camera, the one on my S4 seems adequate.
- Fingreprint +
- Frequent updates. Are there any phones that get updates directly from google?
- I'd rather buy off-contract, paid all at once. I don't mind getting an "international version" of a phone.
I like the S6, but heard bad things about it on xda forums. There was an issue with memory leaks and apps being force-closed for example. I read about that about a month ago so I don't think it's been fixed yet. I'd rather not pay flagship prices though.
