highpoint 366

If a sliver of silicon in a ceramic package could deserve a nice warm spot in hell, that chip would be it.
>>

Ditto here. This ATA66 controller is actually slower than the BX onboard UDMA33, not to mention it causes your system to freeze badly during disk access.

<< ATI TV Wonder VE :|
bastard still doesnt work and been in 3 different pc's, only worked in 1.
>>

Yeah I just bought a Radeon VE, and with its 'stock' drivers (the ones that come on the driver CD) its not faster than my old Rage 128...

The latest drivers from the 'net that i downloaded dont want to install, giving an error that says that the card is not a radeon VE...

has to be trying to get my old maxtor 2.5gb (slaved to a barracuda IV) to been seen at all by windows. Ended up rebuilding my old comp and installing my CDRW onto that and burning everything important onto CD - only took restarting 13 times until Nero finally didnt crash and burned the CD ["buffer underrun prevented 39 times" LOL).

prize would have gone to my old Pine mobo, but it got Kudos when i was able to flash the BIOS from floppy when i thought i killed it - enough to make me always want AMI BIOS. made up for constantly making keyboard not work at the omst inconvenient times possible.

other than that HDD (which is for the bin) setting up new rig was a compelete breeze, too fast if anything.

oh but the damned ThermalTake D-Orb 3 LowNoise - noisy and at this horrible tone that just drums into my head arrghhh

DBCROSSFIRE - hint buy logitech next time

Iwill KK266-R. The raid controller is a pain in the ass, and when I updated bios it wouldnt want to install windows because of that, it really pissed me off. Another one is my IBM 45GB 75gxp.

Also my Epson 780. It was broken and this stupid guy from epson was saying that it was my printer cable. He was blaming it on my computer than. Even though if u press the buttons on the tray it wouldnt work. I had to hang up and call back again.

Quantum Fireball hard drives (I've had at least 5 of these puppies go bad on my corporate network in the last two years, none of them more than a year old when they died)

ok....its about 3 years ago

Most headaches i've ever had:

(*) Lite-ON CD-Rom....40x

I think i had three of them...NO single one worked right as it was supposed to work...drive slowed down as soon as it encountered read-errors on CD...or it slowed down to 4x speed as soon as the drive reached certain tracks on CD and didnt go up to reasonable speed....these CD-drives were a huge pile of junk !!!!!!!!!!!!

(*) Creative WebCam III

It comes with the worst drivers....the image quality is horrible. It works 'ok' in daylight (if you get it to work).....but it's almost unusable otherwise. BIG piece of garbage.

With regrets... my SB Live!

I have had this card since it hit the market several years ago and have NEVER had any probs with it until yesterday. Yesterday I was playing with headphones on and out of the blue this ear piercing wave of static shot through my skull like somebody was hammering 10 penny nail through it... It was so loud that my wife, who was sitting across the room from me asked me to shut it off... to which I replied... Huh?

*Sigh* Guess I will have to go get the GTXP now

Epox EP-8KTA3 and 1.2Ghz TBird at stock speed under Win98: Oh god, that was just terrible. System crashed, restarted, turned itself off ALL the time. I couldn't do a damned thing with that system.

Coolermaster ATC 201: Pretty with terribly weak construction.

IOmega Zip Drives: Had two fail. IOmega doesn't want to replace.

<< Abit KT7-Raid

System Freezes, USB dissapearances, reboots, etc.... Took a good 3 months of bios Updates, VIA updates, and bios tweaking to get the thing to run correctly.

Ditto on this one, also my IBM 75GXP failed multiple times...

In a IT perspective.. PRINTERS, PRINTERS, PRINTERS....

Read any book.. printers are 90% of an administrators problems.

" I can't print... " I hate it when I hear someone say that!!
