hey everyone. I'm trying to figure out why there's a big latency in the reaction time of browsing. It seems once the browser finds what it wants.. or once a file starts to download then it goes really fast.. but there's an annoying delay. I'm wondering if it's because the wireless signal isn't optimized.
I'm using a buffalo tech router and pci adapter card. They both support AOSS and that's what I'm using right now.
The router is on the 2nd floor and the computer with wireless card on the 1st floor although they are only seperated by about 8 feet distance.. and it's jeeprok and wood.. no concrete or anything like that.
It took me a while to get AOSS to work because the antenna on the downstairs computer was pointing up.. when I made it point horizontally it found the access point but it wouldn't before.
The router which is about right on top of the computer but on the 2nd floor currently has the antenna in a horizontal position as well.
I'm just wondering if this is ok.. and what's the optimal way of placing antennas for best connections at short and long ranges.
Thanks
