I bought some deal on Prime Day, but it wasn't from Amazon. That's how I roll.

I got a rice and bean burrito from WaWa for ~$5. Didn't feel like eating the can of tuna I packed.

$30 off a Fresh delivery for this afternoon. At 88 degrees out I didn't feel like walking to the grocery store.

$2 off my next Kindle ebook for buying one. Woo!

Anyone looking for a cheap tablet for kindle books, music and Netflix, the 7" Fire at $30 is pretty good. The built-in speaker is garbage but sound over headphones or bluetooth is good. It also has a microSD card slot and can use 128 GB cards. The downside is it runs a fork of Android without Google apps or the Play store.

I picked up a bunch of stuff actually. Some of which was prime day, some of which wasn't. Also was able to stack a 20% off anything sold by Amazon by using Amex rewards.

- TP link light switches (both dimming and non-dimming) - I already have a few devices on this infrastructure so wanted to stay with it even though its not the cheapest. It's been good though.
- Echo dot + hue bridge + hue bulbs - I needed another echo dot anyways and this was a good way to get a hue bridge & a couple of hue lights (I already have two hue lights paired through echo plus)
- Foscam camera system
- Klipsch bookshelf monitors + amplifier

It was an expensive couple days. Whoops.

I was just looking at those cameras - why does it say they are 1080p in the title but then in the diagram showing each camera it says they are 720p?

I believe the XTs are 1080p and the white indoor are 720p. I think when the XTs were released, they were set at 720p but 1080p was enabled in a later firmware. I now own 22 Blink cameras after adding 3 more from this sale. I also bought a 1 TB SSD for under $140.

Not Amazon deals but I got thru eBay via Best Buy a Nvidia Shield TV with Remote and Controller for $155 and bought from Best Buy a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Quartro Tuner for $99 and a Samsung Smartthings Motion Sensor for $15.

Finally bought something thru Amazon Prime Day - got the AmazonBasics Premium Dual Monitor Arm for $160. It's a rebadged Ergotron and only goes on sale a couple of times a year.

$20+ for Under Armour t-shirts? Maybe I'm out of the loop but how is that a deal?

I bought an iced coffee and breakfast burrito at McDonalds. I don't have prime.

The iced coffee was kinda weak today. I was kinda disappointed.

Ancestry DNA. Nothing else has caught my interest.

Prepare to have your account w/ Ancestry DNA hacked, and anyone w/ familial DNA history will now be available, to anyone, everywhere Chaotic42, it has happened before!

Personally, I snagged the $5.00 Amazon G/C promotion and a Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition; either way I will be ahead.

the extra 20% off from amex is very nice

bought this bundle for $373 after tax https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D3Q6CRR/ref=twister_B07CN3RVTF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I guess I'm building a new pc. went ahead and added this $173 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EN3Z7QQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

unfortunately I missed the gpu deals
I couldn't think what to get so I followed someone's suggestion.

I loaded up with 400.00 in Amazon GC's and bought 100.00 Safeway card.
You had to use at least 0.01 of your Amex Rewards when checking out. I had 1.11 left in my rewards so I used that.
20% off Promo code was AMEXSWP20PD
I got a 400.00 Amazon GC, and a 100.00 Safeway GC for 398.89.
Basically loaded up my Amazon account with 400.00 and got 100.00 worth of free groceries.

Actually its still active for another hour.

Nice deal!

My son needed sneakers so I got him some New Balance that were 30% off for Prime Day. I can deal with $43 for men’s sneakers between that & the TP & pet food it was an economical, useful shopping trip Plus, he prefers New Balance shoes so it was a win for Mom

I'd love to know the details of this deal. seems to me like someone at amex and their insurance company is getting fired, but maybe I'm wrong. Extra 20% off across the board at amazon? But it's been going on for 2 weeks already...

I was tempted by those Blink XT outdoor cameras, and even more so when you add in the American Express deal. However, in checking some reviews, they noted a bit worse visual quality... and I already own one PoE-based camera. The only reason I was considering the wireless cameras is that no one can seem to figure out how to get into the area above one part of my house. So, if I wanted a camera in that area, which I do, I'd have to either (a) create an entrance, (b) learn to fish wires like a pro, or (c) run the wires partially outside.

Same, I didn't buy anything I didn't need. Prime day savings are only savings if you don't buy something you would have otherwise not bought. Had to hold myself back from the Essential Phone for $250, almost pulled the trigger on that even though I don't need a new phone.

I also found out you can buy add-on items for less than the minimum total order requirement amount if you purchase a gift card to get up to the minimum. I will just use the gift card later.
