My friend has his a8n-sli and one 6600gt and will not be overclocking. He is intent on not spending over $50 on the PSU (I keep telling him he's insane). It does claim 20A on the +12V rail, so that is above the 17A minimum requirement....anyway...
Mad Dog is some sort of "own brand", which means you'd be mad to buy it unless you know who built it.
I disagree with that because i just bought a Mad Dog from compusa, the 500 watt with 30a on the 12v rail which is really good if it works which I can't test right now thanks to either my A8N-SLI being hosed or just really grouchy so I need to RMA that. i bought the Mad Dog cause I can return it and get all my money back for up to 21 days, no restocking fee or bs like that and cause its a single rail and I want to test that theory about the dual vs single 12v rail. But i am waiting a little while with the clear rtc jumper on to make sure that it is getting reset. Or else I'll have to rma the board and wait for a new board to test.
Mad Dog has a website that seems as good as any other psu maker, and the thing wasn't a cheapie either.
