Sorta agreeing with the first post. I regret buying BF1 on my PS4 Pro. I have it for the PC and play it 97% of the time on it. I do enjoy the game a lot, BF is my second fav series behind Tribes. Like BF1, I bought Overwatch on the PS4 Pro and PC. And like BF1 I play it mostly on my PC. My sold and co workers all play on console, but I detest FPS games on console. And you can't use the same account so I have to level up two profiles at once, very annoying.

Went out to eat for our oldests birthday two weeks ago. I regret buying so many sides. They did not inform us that they are family style sides, so we each ordered two sides and had far too much food. We heard them tell the table next to us after we ordered. Dinner was almost $500 for the four of us, with about $100 worth of sides. I regret buying so many damn sides.

It was $398.65. I left $80 cash because I prefer to give tips in cash for them. It was our oldest who turned 18, special day. Three of us got steak, wife got lamb. Only one alcohol drink. We rarely eat out like that, but only turn 18 once. Got dressed up and had a good time.

Xbox Kinect. Gotta hand it to Microsoft for their marketing campaign. Jimmy Fallon really appeared to be having fun with it. Thought I'd finally get some use out of my Halo machine. Nope. $150 accessory I used a grand total of one time.

$80 tip? you tipped waaaaaaaaay too much if they didn't inform you that you were ordering tooooo much sides, knowing they were huge.

and $300 for 3 steaks and a lamb = avg $75/each entrée.

what place is this so I can avoid!

Fool me once.... I was expecting six hookers, but it was delivered in a single package D^:

Exactly. If you order a pound of blow it doesn't matter how it's packaged. But 600 lbs of hookers can be an unpleasant surprise if you don't nail down the details in advance.

Looks like it was a little under $100 for sides. Still I regret it. They were all huge, and couldn't take extra with us as we were not going home. $80 is a bit high for not telling us. Everything else was exceptional, we had two servers too.

thx for the additional info.
you had appetizers.
so the entrees prices weren't that insane.

glad you had a great time celebrating your son's 18th.

Daughter, but thanks! Second child is a son, his is next weekend. But he wants Nama, which is sushi so should be considerably cheaper. It's usually what we do, let them pick a place to eat.

Let's see. 3 2-liters worth of soda and ice'd tea, check. 3 10-dollar piles of grass clippings, check, a pair of $45 filets of *something*, better have been Megaladon at that price... check... a *more expensive* filet with the bones left in (so you know, you can do their job for them), $42 lamb chops (for the record, you can buy a lamb for close to that price), and of course the ever present $10 potatoes, of which you paid for three, check. Yeah, I'd regret that purchase too, no matter how 'nice and dressed up' it was.

No major purchases regretted for me, most of the expensive stuff in my house was free or well-researched.

$18 for calamari? Did they make them using fresh squids? $10 for mash potatoes? Were they made with La Bonnotte potatoes from the French Isle of Noirmoutier?

Every 'nice restaurant' I've been to gives you a single line-item charge for each meal, which may/may not be expensive. This looks more like a restaurant touting itself as nice, while still serving a chili's-esque a la carte menu. I suppose the proper person should be asked.

Ackmed, tax and tip aside, was this meal/service worth $366?

As long as they got 38904753475 people that need to be paid and presumably expensive real estate, a 90 cent baked potato is still going to cost $10.

Yeah, and it'd still be overpriced garbage. A nice, $100/plate Michelin star restaurant does not have '1 Mashed Potatoes - 10.00' on the receipt.

$3.25 for a Coke, where was this?
$3.25 for a soft drink? That could be any Applebees-type place.

Honestly, the prices don't look all that much higher than what I'm used to at the local indie bar'n'grill. I don't got every day, but it's definitely a 2-3x / month place and not some bucket list experience.

I typically avoid the $40 steak and/or surf'n'turf type entrees (excepting birthdays and graduations, etc.) and just get a dinner salad and a beer, so I can get in and out for <$20. But it's not some alternate universe. And if I went downtown, I'd expect to see prices like that at any of the sit-down steakhouse places.

The problem is that people are looking at the bottom line and not the 4 entrees, 3 salads, six sides, and two apps, which would probably feed... a lot of people. 15 plates of anything at any remotely decent restaurant is going to be at least a couple hundred bucks. Add in drinks? Sorry, is that my wallet screaming?
