I'm a "drivel" kind of person. Takes all kinds don't ya know..someone else posted that drivel already in this thread...
Uh, yes, denial is no magic stone.Interesting quote from Lao Tze. The false-logic follow-up that is NOT true is to suggest that whatever the eraser does write must be true. We see massive numbers of examples of this every day on social media. Deceived believers and outright scam artists constantly post false tales to "correct" a previous post.
What if that's a self-fulfilling prophecy? My life's guiding principle: "You are gonna fail no matter what you do, so why bother doing anything unless you absolutely have to?"
Have heard something opposite, and I believe this is attributable to Bruce Springsteen: "You fail until you succeed."My life's guiding principle: "You are gonna fail no matter what you do, so why bother doing anything unless you absolutely have to?"
Sacred Cows, they are so sacred we don't even know their real names much less how to let go of them. Seek to prove the truth of every idea you believe is necessary for the good to win. Why are you a Democrat? Why are you a republican? Why is one form of belief better than another? That will wipe dust from the mirror of reflection.Don’t Be Afraid To Kill Your ‘Babies’

Quick Note: Before you want to kill me for the title of the post and the photo, please read it first. There’s no violence involved, […]www.wanderingearl.com
Since you will fail at everything why not set as your goal the highest aim you can think of. I like a Buddhist prayer, "I vow to save all sentient beings."My life's guiding principle: "You are gonna fail no matter what you do, so why bother doing anything unless you absolutely have to?"
I am sorry but I have looked for that story on line many times and can't find it. There is a book called The Caravan of Dreams that is named after that story I believe and the story itself is in one of that's author's books somewhere, perhaps that very one. I read it a long time ago. It contains, in my opinion, a profound piece of psychological wisdom regarding how ones underlying assumptions about the nature of reality affect ones inner state of happiness. Imagine the difference of the subjective experience of a person who has no financial worries in life at all compared to one who lives in constant fear of poverty. One person may have time to stop and smell the roses.I could only find this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5879781/Story-caravan-salesman-won-2m-Vegas-film.html
Is it like one of those really old stories, like the 1001 nights?
You talkin' to me?
Are YOU talkin' to ME?
