I've been using Corsair PSUs for over a decade as they've been solid in every build I've done. I am prepping a new build and noticed the HX750, which was my most recent Corsair PSU purchase in late 2021, is no longer available, but looking at Corsair's website, I don't see what's replaced it. It looks like the only HX model is 1000+ Watts. I'm not sure my build needs that much power, ever, so I'd like to be more efficient if possible.
Should I look at Seasonic? They've had a mostly great reputation alongside Corsair over the years, but I'm not as familiar with whether their PSUs models today are still made by a reputable manufacturer, or if the componentry is still as great as it used to be.
Open to suggestions for a modular 750-850W PSU that's 80+ Platinum certified, quiet, and likely to last the lifetime of the build.
Thanks!
