What resolution do you game at?

If voting 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080 please indicate if refresh rate is over 60 Hz in thread (eg, 120Hz or 144Hz).

You should revise the poll to add Hz to the resolutions such as 1080p 60Hz, 1080p 144Hz and 1440p 144Hz-165Hz or 60Hz, etc. You should also add 3440x1440 as it makes no sense to clump it into Other on this forum. For high-end gamers, 21:9 3440x1440 is bound to be popular and clumping it with Other would include it with 1680x1050, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1600x900, etc. I would also probably clump 1920x1080 with 1920x1200 and 2560x1440 with 2560x1600 as those are essentially similar categories. Someone with 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 would also be forced to select Other.

I added 3440 x 1440, but only had one more voting option after that to choose from, so I couldn't fit in 144Hz

So Russian, assuming up to 10 options are possible for a future poll how does this look:

I tried 3 x 1280 x 1024 at one point and the games didn't look right to me. I would imagine 1920 x 1080 would even worse (if the monitors were in landscape orientation). Maybe 3 x 1080p in Portrait orientation wouldn't be too bad though?

Personally I love my 1920X1200 U2415.. I guess upgrade path is 34" ultrawide, when the prices will be acceptable (under 400$)..

1080p@60hz IPS 24". Unlike most gamers I am looking for a contrast and black uniformity upgrade more so than refresh rate and resolution/size. I am just sick of IPS glow and BLB.

So this is actually going to be a pretty big factor and "problem to solve" for my next monitor which I plan to buy sometime this year.

I actually gave some thought into buying an 8 bit 144hz 1080p TN monitor since they have superior black uniformity to IPS, I can afford them and I do yearn for a higher refresh rate. However they all come in strong anti-glare coatings which is as big a deal breaker as it gets for me. If someone knows of such a monitor with a light or semi glossy screen then do let me know.

Interesting that even on an enthusiast forum, widescreen resolution is unpopular. Also, I would have thought that 1080p would have had a lower share. "It's the current year" and all that.

This adds to my skepticism about 4K adoption on PC. I think it will be at least a decade away until it even becomes close to mainstream. The mainstreaming will likely happen on consoles first, and not the XBS or the PS4P but the generation after that.

3840x2160 IPS Freesync 32-60Hz. I do a fair bit of photo viewing and so IPS and 2160 are both definite positives and the Freesync is there because it was cheap and makes my weak GPU at the limit of playable in new games and 2160 is really pretty on old games.
