What router should I get?

Is this one good Its d-link

or should I get this one Linksys router

The D-Link is a switch, and isn't that better than just a normal router? Sort of confused about the whole thing. I'm just trying to hook two comps up to DSL. The D-Link is cheaper, but I want to make sure its good quality and will work just as well as the Linksys 4port router one.

The best Entry Level Cable/DSL Router is the cheapest one of the ?Does Not Matter? Brand.

Take a look at your local ? CompUSA, BestBuy, Circuit City etc. dealer they always have something in this category bellow $50 (A/R).

Does not work well drive back and return.

Remember to keep in mind the old adage "you get what you pay for". If you're simply looking for something to forward packets and perform simple NAT, then I would recommend going with at least a name brand in the SOHO market; Linksys / Netgear / D-Link. A lot of these products have the same level of functionality; if you're looking for something with a bit of a more enriched featureset I'd look at the Cisco 8XX set of small routers.

Can you give us an example of a None Brand name.

BTW, most of this stuff is manufactured by few OEM, and Covered with Plastic of different names.

Perhaps I didn't clarify Linksys == good Thai Chi Minh happy router = no good [don't laugh, they have stuff like that at Fry's].
