well, in lottery or just sports gambling I got about $5-$7. But once on a radio show trivia I got $350.
But the amount of money I put into buying tickets etc. >>>>> money won.

The bad thing was that if I had 5 numbers right but not the Mega Ball, I would have won $250,000. And being just one number away from a $12 million jackpot that week, actually small compared to most Mega Millions jackpots. BTW I had bought a quick pick ticket good for
five consecutive draws.

happened to my cousin also back in the 90s (there was no mega number back then). he got 5 out of 6 numbers and after taxes and all, only ended up with ~4k in his pocket. One more number and he would have retired back then.

I won $1000.00 back about 15 years ago when the lottery first came to Virginia. It was a scratch off ticket. I didn't even think I won until a friend looked at the ticket and said hey you just won. Over the years I am sure that I have spent more than $1,000.00 on the lottery. I won $5.00 the last day or two, but I had spent about 10.00 on it. I usually buy win for life tickets, with an occasional mega, or pick 3.
