What seemingly "important" things would you be fine with removing from the world?

What thing that (if given the choice) would you be happy to remove from the world, even though it is considered important? Or alternatively what do you think the world would be fine without (if said thing had never been invented?)

My answer is Non Renewable energy.

Your answer is moronic. However I would get rid of loans. We'd use less resources overall that way. We'd have a smaller unstimulated economy but if everyone was on a level playing field that way life would be simple.

Of all the countries in the world we are the most dependent on non-renewable energy. Much of Europe taxes gas into the $9/gallon range and as a result they use much more public transport and all drive smaller cars. So if you want to get your wish and be Europe's economic bitch then whatever.
