what should be the Memory settings on ECS K7S5A for Crucial 256MB DDR ??

what should be the settings for the Crucial 256MB DDR stick on the ECS K7S5A mobo, during normal operation??
by settings I mean the CAS, Precharge etc...

Also, If I wish to overclock the Memory to say CAS2 what should I do??

Turbo and everything at lowest. You shouldn't have any problems, im running max memory setting right now on a k7s5a with 2 sticks of 256mb each crucial pc2100.

turbo isn't a option. you can choose safe/normal/fast/ultra.

I have mine set for Ultra and 2-6-3 with 2 256MB sticks of Crucial PC2100, not a problem. I overclock the FSB with CUPcool to 142 and it's stable with those settings.

Is it really worth and more important "SAFE" to overclock using CPUCool...
and how much performance improvement can you get out of it??

Right now, running at Ultra/2.5/6/4 ... And I heard there is no noticable/significant performance improvement in going from CAS 2.5 to CAS 2 for the Crucial DDR2100 256MB stick...

To answer some of your questions, is it safe to use Coolcpu to overclock, I haven?t had any problems, just make sure you watch your temps and if you push it too hard and it locks just reboot. Is it worth it, for most people no but I also do RC5, (a distributed computing project) for Team Anandtech and by overclocking I get an extra 100 to 150 blocks a day done.

As far as the memory settings I ran some memory scores using Sandra, (not a great bench mark but it?s quick) With your settings I get 767 Int and 731 FPU. With the memory set to Ultra, 2-6-3 I get 793 Int and 754 FPU and with the FSB set to 142 and Ultra 2-6-3 I get 859 Int and 810 FPU. No really a big enough improvement that you?d notice it in everyday apps but why not get the most out of what you got?
