What should my next upgrade be?

I am looking to upgrade my system and want to know which one will show the most improvements.

Currently I have:
Celeron 400
TNT 16megs
256megs of Ram.

Choices:
Pentium III 850
Geforce 2 with 32ddr.

Anyone? Help me deside.

Are you going to limit yourself to those upgrades?

If you are, I'd suggest going with the GF2 GTS if you play FPSs a lot, or the processor if you don't.

Id say a new CPU. If you go with the Geforce2 then the old CPU will be handicapping it anyway.

What kinda hdd you have? I seem to find if you have a slow hdd, a new really fast hdd makes a huge diff

how about getting a new processor and a gf mx? you don't need a top of the line processor anyways... and mx's aren't that expensive. maybe get a p3 750 and mx or something?

if yur a gamer get the vid card...if not and just want better overall performance get the CPU...but either is up 2 u...that is just what i would do

You could buy a Celeron 566 and OC it to 850, or 952 (112 FSB) and buy a Radeon DDR LE for about $150 or so(total for both), combined less than a Geforce 2 GTS. Granted, the Celeron doesn't compare to the PIII, but it is a lot cheaper (only $55). Also the Radeon DDR LE doesn't have the pure FPS as the GTS, however, it is very good in 32 bit applications, has the "best" dvd playback (in many people's opinions), and has one of the best 2d image quality.
