What software will do this?

i am running a small network and i need to put up some webpages that show the entire contents of folders, and the subfolders. i don't want to just let people view the entire directory. what software will make pages that shows all the folders, then when you select one of the folders, it will show the contents of the subfolders?

this is for a home network with a lot of mp3 albums and about 4-6 computers.

the way to make it not have a webpage but more of a directory and file listing is to not have an index.html or index.php or index.htm

i am doing basically the same thing with iis 5, but wanted it to look a little nicer than the way either apache or iis shows it. no big deal though...

use iis/apche and write an asp page.
Sort of like what that guy does with andromeda (mp3 server) very cool.

Andromeda is VERY KEWL!
I use it at work for an mp3 server...oops did I say that?
I'm sure the guy who wrote it would appreciate any donations, he put some work into it.

lol i use my other computer's FTP server as the mp3 server for my house
kazaa downloads into the ftp folder and anybody can load a file in 1 second

you might want to check this out too, it kicks a$$$. they have it in php and also asp. this is one of the best freewares i have seen in a long time...

man, just go check it out, you can take it off your server quickly if you dont want. i dont have a server online currently, but when i do this is what i will use.

check it out, here it is in action. i have made it so you cant d/l or play the files on it, but you can get the picture...it will be up and down for the next couple of days, so if it is down, just try again later

it even offers a built in search engine
