What sort of alcohol gives off the best buzz?

Do any of you guys find that different alcohols give off different "qualities" of "buzziness"? If so which one provides the best?

Tequila tends to make me energetic and happy. I rarely have a bad experience on a decent beer (or a cheap beer for that matter). In all honesty I haven't found much of a difference between any form of booze, but if I had to pick one to give me the best buzz I'd go with tequila.

Well there are so many variables to a given night...most people don't get together with friends and "enjoy" liquors...my friends don't really appreciate a really fine anything, so if we're drinking Grey Goose, we're probably still taking shots with some mixed drinks in there. So when a night calls for liquor, I'll probably go through the "happy buzz" period pretty fast unless I'm really watching myself. Now, with a beer/wine, that's much easier to achieve as the buzz builds slowly...but for me, I don't have a big stomach so I can't handle too much volume in one sitting, so I might get full before I'm properly happy.

Top shelf will wipe you out, it is strong drink.
Red wine is melow for the chill
Tequila is indeed zappy
beer is for thirst

I don't know what gives me the best buzz, but tequila makes me violent and arrogant. I avoid drinking tequila on all occasions. I'm just not fun to be around when I've had tequila.

It's all about the amount of ethanol.

Hangovers can be affected by other compounds in the drink, but the buzz is only from the alcohol.

It's, of course, impossible for another ingredient of for example, tequila or bourbon, to react differently with alcohol in your system than when you drink, let's say, whiskey or scotch, right?
