What speeds for the new 133 fsb P4s?

Anyone know what speeds the new 133 fsb P4s are going to come in? Hopefully more than just the highend speeds.

Any idea on prices for those?

I was about to upgrade but now I am thinking I'll wait for the 133 fsb P4 and the Asus P4B533-E based ib the I845E.

133FSB P4's have been out for awhile now. They start at $135 or so for the 2.1Ghz and $180 for the 2.4Ghz.

All P4's run on a 100Mhz QP bus.

Id be inclinded to use Intels new chipset that supports 1066Mhz RD-RAM with the newer P4's though.

Obviously, he meant overclocked...with no extra voltage needed. Just change the FSB in the bios from 100 to 133 and you are done.

Even so, the 845E and 850E, if you believe Tom, will offer additional memory performance over the current 845D/850 chipsets overclocked to 133FSB. Unfortunately, we won't be able to buy those new boards for another two months.

I own and P4 and am one of the few who cant get it to 133fsb (or even close)

Actually, 2.26 and 2.4 initially. The 2.53 isn't coming until late July.

Engineering sample wise the 2.53GHz will be out sooner than July, in fact at the end of April.

2.26 and 2.4GHz will be the first consumer level CPU's.

Yes, but most people here don't run their own hardware review web site (or live in Japan/Taiwan ...), and thus they don't get sent free engineering samples by Intel several months before the public at large....

Fair point there.

I don't have a 2.40B yet myself, although we do have some ES's at 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz (400MHz FSB). So it is not always several months we get them before the release. We deal with Intel US and UK, not in Taiwan or Japan.

Yes, but if you live in Taiwan or Japan, there are shops selling preproduction cpus...

I consider myself pretty up to date on new stuff.. especially on the Intel side since I plan on getting a P4 as soon as Tax money comes back... so I have been doing quite a bit of researching...

But I don't recall ever hearing what the "ES" P4's were. I have heard them mentioned only a couple of times.

Please explain.

The problem with the i850E versions of the new chipsets (compared with the DDR i845E) is going to be a HUGE price difference.

The RDRAM for the i850e is 32bit and I expect is will be $$$$$$$$$.

However, the i845E will be perfectly paired with 133 mhz DDR available now.
