I would tell you but I refuse to converse with infantile, dipwads that use "rolling" and "rocking" in this manner.
Did you sit on your balls again old man?

Wayfarers are $130 to a little over $200. Not really a cheap pair of sunglasses.
I am going to say LOL to a $10 watch being some of the best you have gotten if you are seriously comparing it to even watches in the $200+ range.
I guess sunglasses are the new Diesel jean debate.
Personally they are going to be what people are noticing most about your outfit when you are talking to them.
I have seen some nice fakes out there, but seeing someone in some rinky-dink pair of ghetto shades is sort of embarrassing.
I only wore sunglasses for one summer when I was 18 and they were Oakley's. They were uncomfortable as hell, so I threw them out and never bought another pair. My wife tells me I'm doing damage to my eyes by not wearing sunglasses, but they just feel weird to me. I guess they would be cool for awkwardly staring at chicks without being creepy though
I'm not saying that there's not good value in a good pair of glasses or an expensive watch, it's all about personal preferences and priorities. I'm not really the type to worry about what I'm wearing to any major extent, and I don't wear sunglasses when talking to people, I don't know why, but I consider it rude unless we're standing somewhere they are actually needed. Similarly, I remove my hat when talking to someone or when I enter a room, which is really weird when you think about it, but whatever.
And yes, I'm serious about the watches, their main function is to tell time and not fall off, and the cheap ones I've had have been just as reliable as the more expensive ones, and much better than the Fossils I've had (they've all been cheap crap that stopped working or broke quickly). The last thing I want in either a watch or a pair of sunglasses is to be flashy or extravagant.
It's telling that you mention "what people are noticing about your outfit". Why, exactly, should I really care, unless I look like a slob? I dress to the occassion, but as a mid-30s father of two, I don't really have time or the desire to engage in social events that don't involve close friends or family, and I spend most of my time working. So, regular clothes from Target or even Ross suit me fine. If I spent 50-200% more on these kinds of things, that's just extra money I don't need to spend that I find better suited to my savings accounts and investments. That's terribly boring, but I have a harder and harder time wasting money the older I get.
Man, I wish it was legal to tint my font windshield. I'd definitely do it.
I agree with normally you'd take off your sunglasses off to talk to people, but here in S. Florida usually you really can't
I don't want to make this an income/status thread, but I really like nice things and once you start buying them you realize how much of a difference there really is between a cheap pair of say pants and a nice pair.
I will say in sunglasses if you are buying knockoffs, don't trust the UV ratings.
Not finding comfortable sunglasses is your own FAIL.
Go to a store and try several on to find the right fit.
Listen to your wife. Quality sunglasses are necessary if you want to prevent eye-related problems later on in life....like cataracts.

until you get a crack in your windshield.
then you realize you're out $500 for the windshield and $150 for the tint job.
I've tried on pairs with friends, but I've never found any that don't feel like a "cranium accessory" D rip, Mitch ) that I don't think I could get used to.. My problem is I sweat, a lot. So the glasses make my head sweat and they get fogged up just wearing them. I'd have to find sunglasses that are real light or thin or something. Luckily I've never had to wear glasses.

3M Crystaline is what you want. Racers use it to protect their harnesses, it blocks a ton of heat and UV for a clear tint. They do make darker Crystaline films, but the highest is pretty transparent and it's like night and day the difference it makes.
It's expensive to do a whole car with it, but just a windshield would probably be $100 or so.

100% windshield coverage in Florida FTMFW
Don't use safelite though.
I have Huper Optik all around (except the windshield) on my wife's car, but I'll most likely give 3M Crystaline a shot for my next car. The problem is, I'll never be able to do the whole front windshield for legal reasons. I may do partial though.
What is wrong with Safelite? I need to replace the windshield on my truck and was looking to use them.

They do an 'OK' job, but expect to see goop along the inside of your car that's not smoothed properly since they don't take apart the interior.
I should have insisted that BMW do my replacement. Safelite put in an aftermarket glass first that had 1/2" spaces at the top of of the windshield, then the OEM glass which cracked 2 hours after install, and finally one that was good...but used way too much goop.
When I tried to clean it off my alacantara interior, I scratched behind the glass which is visible now and not covered under their warranty.
I am going to have it redone by BMW in a couple months and just pay the $1000 out of pocket. I should have just paid the extra $500 they wanted for the factory job from the start.
If you don't give a shit, it's a good solution.
are they going to cover the $150 to retint?
no bro...$150 is a no-brainer though to redo.
i've had 3 cracks in my windshield in the past 5 years. the risk/value proposition just isn't quite there.
i used to drive a lot though.
